A few specific suggestions in no particular order, ignore anything that’s already planned:
- Weapon swapping has very little feedback, and needs a better success indicator (could be a sound, or a visual). Sometimes it’s instant, sometimes it’s not - so I’ve found myself mashing the button, resulting in a few deaths and a lot of close calls.
- Mouseover info is a must have. From player names, mob identity, or gathering node names, etc etc. I feel like I’m playing half blind without the ability to quickly id something sans LMB click.
- Whoever worked on the visual differences between mining nodes has earned a couples days off in Mexico. The contrast between nodes is great, and after a few hours I’ve become an expert at identifying basalt. Same with trees - I can identify larch from a mile out.
- The prevalence of mining node types is super wonky - I didn’t realize sapphire was SO much more common than copper. Copper is the bane of my existence. 😉
- Someone mentioned this in another thread re: safety upon login. I don’t think we need to be ‘safe.’ But, I do think the load sequence needs to be adjusted so we don’t fall through the world, or pull mobs before the game is ‘ready.’
- Is the plan for PvE content around a node hub to be lvl 10 then rise with the node development? I moved to Winstead at lvl 5 to start contributing, and found it was too high level to do anything meaningful. This would result in the starting area really becoming a practical stomping ground until levl 8-10.
- Mini map zoom needs to work with the mouse wheel. Ditch the zoom buttons.
- Allow detarget by LMB, currently have to ESC

Took me a while to find it as well.
The rest I agree.
