Same Node PvP issue?

kadimirkadimir Member, Alpha Two
It seems like we're not able to attack people that are citizens of the same node on the alpha, and I had more than one occasion that this became a problem especially in group fights and one person can't even attack another player if they wanted to.

Likewise, I remember 2 of us dying while group farming, the guy picked up our ashes and was flagged, I left group and decided to just kill the dude but I couldn't even attack him because he's a citizen of the same node. Is this intended design or a bug? I can think of way more reasons why you should be able to PvP against your own citizens, and plenty of ways that you could be griefed by opposing guilds abusing an 'always friendly' policy when sharing a node. And if for some reason this IS the intended design, why not make it so that you don't flag for killing/looting other node players?

Someone else made mention of this same issue, I would suggest posting this under bugs/feedback.

So is it actually a bug?

I have not heard of any pvp protection for citizenship so if you could not target the player (other poster stated they got an 'invalid target') and they were not level 5 or below in a start zone, not someone that rezz'd in the last minute at an emberspring, and not someone in your guild or party, I would submit a bug.

well we were farming lvl 18 3 stars, so definately above lvl 5. Not in guild - and I had to march quite a bit to get back so im sure it wasn't my res timer. The other instance the guy was our level 12 or 13, I could attack him but my friend who was of the same node could not, but he could attack the other guy that was with him.

I would still suggest reporting as a bug and if this is intended, I am hoping they will let us know as I am not aware of any protection mechanic like this.
