Solo/duo pvp. How to do this without getting corrupted?

My friend is mostly into pvp. Ideally solo/duo or small group. So far I haven't seen anyone pvping at our level 10ish. He killed one purple and got corrupted. He isnt very motivated to play just to grind levels and i am hoping to get more specific info on how we can go about roaming for some fun pvp so we can play together. I guess we could just look for caravans to attack, but is there any advice on other scenarios people are working with who want to run around and get into random consensual fights?

Head to the Tropics or Sandsquall Desert.
These will be normal zones later … but right now they are the lawless testing zones.
