Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

You can download the game launcher here and we encourage you to join us on our for the most up to date testing news.

Will tools be tradable at launch?

Currently you can't have the people who are specializing in crafting items craft tools for the gatherers because you can't trade tools. I'm wondering if we will be able to trade tools so the guild crafters can make them for the guild gatherers?

The utility would be that you can craft improved quality tools and sell them. As it stands right now, this is not possible as you can only craft your own .

The current iteration is to avoid someone crafting 10 tools and never needing to repair. Not quite botting, but something like it

Odd. You still have to go to town to unload mats.

You have to be the appropriate rank in a profession to craft that tool. The materials needed to craft the tool are tradable so you can craft your own.

This sort of thing is actually the reason I think many open-trade games moved in certain directions.

I hope they are tradeable, I can't imagine what the lower levels of certain crafting professions are going to be like if you can't trade them.

Botting or 'being able to stay out indefinitely' hopefully should not be a consideration for anything. The bag system is already resolving that, or at least, it's supposed to be. The new ridiculous stack sizes are definitely sus, but 'not being able to trade tools at all' is definitely a terrible solution to that, for me at least.
