Not sure how I feel about anti-synergies in Bard kit.

Fierce Wit applies Burning, weapon Finishers can apply Bleed. This creates anti-synergy with Mesmerizing Dance stun, which breaks on any damage taken. Nevermind even in the group pvp setting where damage just flies around. There is a reason why Dark Lullaby does NOT interrupt the Incapacitated state. Why is this anti-synergy present?

Considering how dps starved Bard is, this doesn't seem like a great interaction.

Applying mez should dispel all status effects from the target, else the skill makes little sense. I've been using it as oh shit button, when I had unexpected adds during a fight, but never really found a use for it during combat in a group... with many of the weapons having splash damage. You could still use it, to build a stack, but that'd be a waste of mana and a global cooldown.

Not a bad idea, every dispelled damage over time effect could extend the disable status.

I like that idea, but that could get pretty OP in pvp if it's too much and people learn to play around it. Maybe 1 second per dot?

Its not an anti synergy. Its because its got two phases of cc if this is the ability im thinking of.
The incap. Which is a soft cc which if youre using it for a long disable duration, youve probably done messed up and shouldve stopped attacking and started hoofing it already. The other proccing an actual stun on staggered enemies. Which makes for the hard cc. Which can be used with particular weapons or to synergize with your group. I cant tell you how many times ive scored a well timed stun or interupt saving the tank and melee dps from
    Death.

Stop hammering screws and use the tools for their intended use.

I think it’s good as is. Not every ability should be applicable to any situation.

Removing all status effects would be bad for the bard. Removing all DoTs...maybe. I think Marionette has the best implementation of an incapacitate. Incap'd until they take 10% of the caster's health in damage.

But Mezz dance is fine too, because it's a medium length stun as well as incap if the target it staggered. We have a semi-AE stagger with the flying notes that hits 5+ targets consistently. I use that when AE grinding to get a short stun, lullaby, long stun.

To be fair those were my very early on bard impressions, so far I have not found the dots to be that annoying, they last really short time. I'm not even sure if I ever failed to maintain the incap status, because of dots. Anyway bards next week might have bigger problems to worry about :)
