Joy needs a little love

(coming from a lvl 22 bard player at that time)

Joy is lagging behind Triumph in the category of yellow theme generator. 10% extra maximum health offers more synergies with Cleric and Tank abilities than 10% shield. Triumph lasts the whole 30s duration, whereas Joy's absorption will be gone as soon as a goblin shaman farts in your general direction. Joy is also vastly outclassed by Shielding Dance that yields bigger shields, and does not interfere with theme generation. I really struggle to think of a situation where I prefer to cast Joy over Triumph.

Could Joy get a facelift please? There are numerous defensive options that could improve or take over: universal damage reduction for the duration, physical mitigation, magic mitigation, crit mitigation, max health % regeneration, CC duration reduction or resistance, flat % bonus to avoidance / miss chance, and more.

Joy is part of what gives bards infinite speed (bards never run out of stamina for sprinting with Epic Melody, Crescendo, and Joy)

The complaint has nothing to do with runspeed/stamina. Change stamina for all I care, and make Joy competitive with Triumph.

I'm not impressed with Themes and Sagas at all. Some are buggy, others situational. Consider the required talent investment to reach these (especially Sagas Volume 2), the time required to set those up, and their impact on combat. Then you also lose the passive/active theme buffs when you fire off a saga for...minimal effect.

I see Sagas as buggy gimmicks atm. Active/passive buffs provided by the themes are nice, but I'm not so sure about their mana cost, and need to recast every 30 seconds for the active effect to also apply.

Saga isn't worth it. I'm getting more out of letting my Triumph charges sit there.

Joy doesn't give stamina regeneration boost. Triumph does.
