So, what IS fun? (Some positive feedback about what you're enjoying)

I’ve written my fair share of bugs & posts so far. There’s a lot that’s either missing, requires significant adjustment, or is just plain broken.
That said I’m enjoying the lumber/mining gathering gameplay loop for what it is. There’s a nice hit when I run across a more rare node, and I’m getting better at balancing when to keep pushing and when to head back to a node.
Simple question: what’s an example of what you’re enjoying in Alpha 2?

There are several things but if I had to mention only a single thing, I'd say the world itself and exploring it. The wind at the moment is annoying due to the bug but just having wind like that in the game, running around the forest... just incredible.
Probably because there's enough mobs to keep a good, efficient, loop of skill/attack usage and:
- I don't run out of mobs
- Resources don't run out too frequently (melees are a bit less well off here, but it's normal)
- I don't have to spend a high percentage of my time running around
Essentially 99% of my time during that phase is the fun part of the game - using my skills/attack to kill things, and it's relaxing because the balance is just right.
I hope once the devs tune the levelling experience there can be more places that can be like this.
lol - I did stop and watch this for a few mins. Couldn't quite tell if this was a bug, a joke, or an easter egg.
I find the active combat fun. My hope is that they keep a good balance where active playstyles are more worth it instead of point and click passive playstyles.
I'm for skill based fluid combat, mechanic counterplay, and player+build individuality.

Ha - nope. I just know from experience that product teams need some positive feedback while they are inundated with bugs / critical feedback / enhancement requests. A little goes a long way.
Feels like I'm in a solo D&D campaign. Game is very relaxing to play, and I like how you need to be careful fighting what you run across. Sometimes you have to find a way to sneak around the mobs that will kill you to get to the place you want to explore, and other times, take them on.
1) Each class benefit each other - I love the design IPS has gone with that each class bring something more than "just" damage/healing/tanking etc. Mages have a weapon buff, rangers have a couple of buffs (well, most of them suck atm, but the idea is there!) and fighters... well, scream at the party (and I love it!). I love having an ammo bringing bleed effects to enhance my fighter's damage.
2) Mobs require different tactics - coordinating damage to deal with dangerous foes such as firestarters or other high damage-dealing mobs is fun.
3) Exploring the open plains - just generally exploring is very fun and feels very rewarding at times. Each time I've found a cool hunting spot (like the Oath Bearer spawns) or cool interactable items in random locations, I've just appreciated the game so much. Stuff like that makes the game so much more enjoyable. c:
