Mobs should not magically teleport to you unless you are actively damaging them

It feels objectively broken and terrible that mobs teleport inside of you when they cannot path to you *as you are running away from them or not trying to kill them* this was added obviously to stop safespotting but it should only happen when you are trying to safespot.... lol, when the mob takes damage and cant path then move them to the player not just after some amount of time arbitrarily

More than once I run to a safe distance to disengage, stopped because nothing was on sight, and got ganked by mobs appearing out of nowhere on top of me.
You're using you stamina and cooldowns to run away or kite, there's no place for a mechanic of them infinitely teleporting to you - especially in a game with so much penalty on death.
This said, I think the current situation is more of a bug than a choice. At times mobs do get stuck under the terrain for a while, plus there could be client-server sync issues, etc.
Ill say no - it was added when players would get mobs stuck on terrain. It never did that until the fix.
Not lag, but intended.
no. They made mobs teleport to prevent players who were abusing terrain in week 1.
