Wrong node message when trying to launch a caravan

I'm getting a message that I'm trying to launch the caravan from the wrong node.
I'm trying to launch it in the area where I purchased it and started the launch.
I've run to all of the other nodes to see if the items works there, it doesn't work at any other node either.
Also, I now cannot launch stored caravans that I already had at other nodes, seems the game wants me to complete the one that's in my inventory before it lets me launch another...
Is there any solution to this?
Would deleting the caravan item, that I have in my inventory, wipe out my caravan upgrades, beast of burden all of the cargo?

Update (11/25/24): After the patch, when I go back to the node location where the caravan originated, it now allows me to place it on the ground and launch it.
