Think I Need Tailoring as Cleric

I'm willing to learn an profession to suit my needs and to eventually learn more about the game, one profession at a time. So I'm rolling a Cleric and assumed that I would be armor smith but I don't see the stats that I need as a healer yet and I don't know when I will be able to find them in heavy armor. So I'm considering tailoring but I don't know where to start. I went to the wiki but it's not in a state of being intuitive and I couldn't figure out what I need to know. I want to know all the gathering and processing required to be a novice and apprentice tailor. I would guess it will be one of: hunting, herbalism, farming for cotton or possibly mining for the metal to make clasps or something?

I just need a good practical profession to give me healing and magic stats as I level Cleric and I will do whatever I need to. Appreciate anything.

so as it is right now light is basically the only way to get int/wisdom stats (mostly) some of the other tiers can have it but its not consistent. I think in the future they plan to have it where you can make whatever main stat on the armor tiers since they are just a matter of how heavy are you into phys/magic res or balanced

at this time if you do get tailor to lvl 10, you cant make any lvl 10 gear, i heard a recipe is missing to do so but cant confirm since my server doesnt have station atm
it will need hunting, tanning, herbalism, weaving, lumberjack, milling, & potentially farming

Appreciate it, that explains it perfectly. I think that until next phase I will do something like alchemy, arcane engineering, scribe or animal husbandry for mount speed. Also I will look at what crating stations are available with our nodes. Actually, I might be better off at this point gathering resources to trade and farming npcs for drops.

i recommened looking at my post on this discussion if you are curious on the crafting professions in there current state can still be good to mess with them to see what its like but leveling them is... something

alchemy is easy to level but kinda worthless right now because the alchemy npc sells what you can make for less than it costs you to make it (and hp potion for example is 1 ruby per potion which is crazy), and at apprentice same issue + missing most of the fun recipes not having a drop source as far as i can tell + what ashes codex also says

animal husbrandy system isnt fully complete but it is a huggggeee money pit right now 62-70 silver per mount/beast of burden

I see your point and have seen the posts about how the costs now are not realistic. When they want us to test the crafting, gathering, processing I'll be ready.
