There were times that dungeons can suddenly become insanely dark - and this time we got pretty much the whole place completely black - and no settings changes would fix it for me.

Relogging fixed it, but it did get extremely dark for all the players in my party, about 11pm game time. Some people were able to switch their global illumination setting to fix it.
using ryzen 5950x / 64gb DDR4 / M.2 drive /RTX 3080ti on 2160p HDR 120hz Gsync display - I suspect maybe the HDR is what made it worse for me? most of my screen was literally black(and it's OLED so those pixels are literally off)
sidenote my OBS is only capturing part of my screen as I use windowed mode when recording game play and when I'm just enjoying the game it's fullscreen.
