Corruption is too overtuned and works slightly bugged

So, we have this guild that started messing up with our traders on caravan runs and we declared war and KOS on them.
We start hunting and killing them wherever we see them.
This guy comes into the town, I start shooting at him and charge up a Snipe.
While my snipe is flying he quits his guild.
This made me kill an unflagged, white player.
This was the first PK (technically a PK from game's POV) I did.
I get corruption level 3 with a blight of 19. On the blight it say that this is the number of unflagged players I killed.
I haven't killed anyone since the node war between miraleth-winstead in week 2.
Now... I have a few issues and questions with this:
- Why are the players able to quit their guild in the middle of the fight
- Why did I get on the first PK, corruption 3
- Why does blight count kills from wars
- Why do I need to kill ~2000 mobs from carphin (from my tests) to get back to non-corrupted
- Where is the reward in risk vs reward? I did a PK, didn't even manage to loot his body because I had to start running due to guards chasing me. I can't even go in town to deposit my stuff (I was coming back from a mining run and had stuff on me)
Now my only solution is to somehow find an empty emberspring, call guildies, and somehow die and have them get my stuff.
With corruption 3 I have 15% movement speed reduction. I deal 45% less damage to players. I drop 70% of my inventory down and 25% to the void and have a big red target on my back. Again, where is my reward in risking a PK? (even if in this case it was unintentional)
Some additional information: I am lv21 the guy was lv 20.

While corruption is intended to be severely punishing during the alpha tests, this is not intended, and what I think happened was the enemy player was NOT in combat, which allowed him to quickly leave their guild before your arrow reached them. Intentionally turning you corrupt from killing him.
The solution is rather simple, there should be a system in place that maintains your guild's status with other guilds for 5 minutes after you leave the guild.
