Launcher bugs after updates are pushed out - need to manually end task

I'm not sure what kind of extra technical details could help, but every time there is a patch pushed out to the game, the launcher shows me this error (first pic), and when I click the X on the launcher I receive this error (second picture) and I am unable to reopen the launcher until I open my task manager and manually end task. Not sure if I can provide and extra helpful details here, but let me know if there's any of my, IDK, computer specs I should list.
