Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

Update: Bugs/Issues for Hunting and Medium armor Leatherworker AND LEATHERWORKING

Hunting rates for high quality carcases is very small. Like impossible small.
I have hunted over 1000 animals and haven't dropped any heroic+ carcass.
I managed to get about 6 rare carcass
I know that hunting will get overhauled and what we have right now is a total placeholder system, but please, give us normal rates.
I have almost 600 hunting rarity (legendary bow, legendary shirt, heroic pants, and 3 heroic hunting bags) and it simply does not work. I get only white and occasionally green carcasses.

Besides these, we require a Raptor Carcasses to craft artisan gear. There are only 6 raptors that spawn every 1 hour. This is nowhere near enough for a whole server. A lot of people are camping the raptors hoping to get rare+ carcass.

For medium armor, lv10 apprentice gear, we require a spider thread. Spiders barely drop cocoons. And we need high quality of them. The only way to farm spiders is by killing the 10 or so spiders from the Gravepeak area that are high level (I am almost lv25). And even then, cocoons drops are not guaranteed. I have farmed those spiders for almost 3 hours and I got only 2 rare cocoons.

These 2 combined, impossible chances to get high quality carcasses and very low chances to get high quality cocoons makes it impossible to craft any high quality (rare+ at least) medium gear.

I know this is on a very low-priority list and it is most likely going to be fixed in stage 2, but please, fix the numbers now. It should just be a small configuration that will take more time to find it in the config list than to change them.

It is frustrating to farm carcasses all day and not get even 1 rare carcass.

Also, the drop rate for carcasses from bears needs tuning. Their drop chance is like 5%. I get only 2/30 bear carcasses... The rest are mounts...


EDIT: We found out this: Leatherworking rarity does not proc.
If you have leatherworking artisan gear (legendary) and craft an item, it is supposed to increase the item rarity (as it does with tailoring, armorsmithing, weaponsmithing, and carpentry). But it does not work for leatherworking.
Crafting a leatherworking item with or without leatherworking artisan gear results in the same item and stats.

Rarity increase seems to not work in general for: Hunting, Mining, Crafting gatherer tools (pickaxe, axe, sickle, etc), Leatherworking, Animal husbandry.
It does seem that somewhat works for: Woodcutting, and herbalism. Can't really confirm, but "feels" like it?

    The Hunting spawn rates, and amount of spawn points, was nerfed like 2nd week in to Alpha. The current system is incredibly painful and is gatekeeping progression.

    Its ridiculous that the only way to get a carcass is based on a dice roll, compounded by the limited spawn locations and excessive timers.

    There should at least be the option for Animal Husbandry to cull live captures for carcasses, this would provide another possible avenue for carcass production.

    What about the drop rates? Its ridiculous to get anything rare+ quality to be this impossible to get?
    I am losing my mind... I hunted animals non-stop since Friday. I got only 6-7 rare carcasses. And those were wolf. I need bear. Now not only I have to deal with the rates for rare+, I have to win the roll from mount or carcass too. And bear carcasses are rarer than anything else in the map.

    Definitely agree that something is wrong or different with the rarity of hunted animals/carcasses compared to other gathering professions. Been hunting as my main skill, now level 26 and I've never found anything above a rare. Would be great to allow culling of unwanted animals into carcasses and other things like that later on when crafting is a priority, for now checking the numbers to see if something is wrong with the rarities given out would be great. I'm still a novice miner and have found several legendary resources, journeyman hunter and nothing close to that.
