Animal Husbandry RNG & Other Changes

After spending hours camping and hunting the Oathbearer, I finally hunted a spawn only for it to give me a carcass instead. (RNG feelbad #1)
After 2 days and 3 attempts at hunting the Oathbearer (RNG feelbad #2), I finally got a trainable drop instead of a carcass. I was absolutely pumped to train it and get the armor bear mount so I threw it into the box immediately. Sometime later I come back to find that I didn't end up with the mount, but the BoB instead. (RNG feelbad #3)
To my knowledge, no other artisan skill has this kind of RNG where you could end up with an unwanted item and it really should only exist in Korean P2W MMOs. The only thing that's missing is the chance for the animal to run away from the stable and you lose it entirely unless you pay for the item for increased mount success %.
I do hope this aspect of Animal Hunsbandry is adjusted in time for Phase 2, because as it is, it feels very bad to fail this kind of craft after spending days farming it.
In addition, it would be nice if tier 2 mounts were all the same speed like tier 1 mounts. The wolf, bear, and cat are all 140% speed allowing players to ride whatever mount they like and have the same speed.
I'm forced to use the currently unfinished Gator mount in order to achieve the fasted mount speed available when I'd much rather be using the Skinwalker mount. Unfortunately, for the sake of efficiency players aren't allowed to use their T2 mount of choice. I understand the need for aquatic mounts to be slower on land than they are in water, but for the sake of fun gameplay and player agency, it would be nice if all mounts in a given tier shared the same speed so players could ride whatever mount they liked most without sacrificing speed to do so. Excluding unique mounts like the Oathbearer or Kirin of course.
To a lesser degree I feel BoBs should be similar since they add personality to a player's caravan, but since land and water travel should be taken into account when choosing a destination, the BoB choice is equally important and has a reason for animals to have different speeds. Although for customization and fun, the same speed only improves the player experience imo.
There is another Hunting post with more detail of more issues with the Animal Husbandry Artisan skill, but I wanted to share this painful experience to highlight how much fun the RNG system brought to my gameplay this evening and my tightly held hope that the system is revamped in the future.
