Melee Barrage

I'm wondering if having the option to use Barrage with the melee weapon, especially if it pulls you in closer to the target, would help give a distincion to the current range only dps flavour the ranger has, especially in pvp.

The 'jump back' on barrage is annoying, I'd very much like a 0 cost perk to make it not do that. That said it's so powerful right now that the jump back almost feels like a recoil penalty, and I'm cool with that.
I would also prefer if my weapon would swap back instantly to the weapon set I had out originally instead of sticking to the ranged weapon whose power I used.
Other than that it feels pretty good with a sword and either a focus or a shield (depending on what exactly I'm doing). Looking forward to dual daggers.
that would be secondary archytype where some skills can be changed to be melee attacks and so on which will be like phase 3 sometimes when we get to know more about secondary classes and how much of an effect they would play, steven has said that some will change range of skills like range skill might becomes melee and vice versa
