Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

You can download the game launcher here and we encourage you to join us on our for the most up to date testing news.

Teleport to attuned Emberspring

I get that there's a lot of traveling in this game, maybe for a purpose. But at least allow us to teleport to an attuned Emberspring. Too much wasted time not having this option. It's the bare minimum.

Most people never listen. They are just waiting on you to quit making noise so they can.

This is a feature if you stay underwater long enough after the breath meter times out. You’ll owe a small bit of exp that you can pay back over time, no interest. I would trade or sell my crafting mats first.

The Traveling is meant as dangerous journey after farming / Traveling, where bandits and Monsters can ambush you and you will lose 50% of the collected gear, with chance to retrieve 25% of it, a port to ember would remove that aspect.

However I could support something like that:
You can craft a Teleport Stone (Arcane or so) that allows you to Teleport to a Attuned Emberspring, however Teleporting has a 80% change to cause "Teleport instability" loosing up to 25-75% of your collected Materials.
Teleport Stone is destroyed after use.

This then could also be in different Level an rarities
With the best and most expensive one for example has a 35% change to cause "Teleport instability" loosing up to 15-40%- of your collected Materials.

Risk and Reward ;) Risk loose your stuff, Reward save travel time.

it'd be 100% of your materials 100% of the time.
and it has an 80% chance of putting you at a random attined emberspring instead of the one you selected.

That'd be a proper risk vs reward based on the context of the intent behind fast travel and material transport restrictions.
The reward is a chance at doing what you want it to.

I normally would be onboard for some limited form of personal teleport - at least one - but I know they're trying to do something different in this game so I'll wait and see how it plays out first, once their vision of the game is completed (if it ever is).

Just bank your mats and die, teleport home, ez. XP debt is peanuts.

There is a travel problem IMO but it only needs to be a boost on the mounts. Getting around the map should be a 15-20 min thing over the 20-30 min it is now. High end mounts are aleady in the game at 180%. Low level mounts are 135% your first crafted mount should be 155% and scale from there.

Just wait till we get the other 95% of the map.
Will be good times. Lots will cry they can't do everything right NOW.

    Enjoy the journey.

That's a lot of words to say "i don't like that".

Honestly, a scroll of return that incurred death penalty for mats (currently 50%), but no death penalty for XP/durability would be just fine. Just give it a long cast time so it can't be used as an escape, and a 1-2 hr cooldown

I say this as a person who loves to explore, but hates the incredibly long ride home. It's also handy for exploring while LFG, and not making your group wait 20 min for you to get there

It's a round about way of saying "This is not what the devs want - but if they do do it, this is probably what it would look like"

Any kind of fast travel that allows rapid mobilization or moving materials will not exist. /
Even family summon is in hot contention in the community as an abusive way to get around some of the intended restrictions.

i don't think we need fast travel, but a way to afk travel via a cart or a blimp would be super nice :D

the base horse having shitty speed is fine, theres no barrier to getting T1 animal husbandry mounts and the only other thing should be give those T1 mounts a 5% increase so its 10% better. rarity will affect mount speed eventually and then once you have grandmaster mounts its gonna be so fast
