Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!
For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

Legendary gear and scaling issues

Legendary gear is currently WAY too strong.
Not only is legendary gear too strong, the scaling per rarity tier is also way too high.
In addition to that, the scaling on damage you get from gear FAR outweights the scaling on health. Meaning youre gonna like 10x your damage, but only 2x your hp. This means that when you have 2 people in full legendary, the entire fight just revolves around who can 1 shot eachother first, which is obviously incredibly boring and anti skill based gameplay.
I really hope intrepid will fix this before the 20th, otherwise the first guild that reaches legendary will just not have any fun anymore at all because every fight is an insta win, and the people who play against that guild will just quit.

Think they are scaling uncommon at around 2x of common, rare at 3x, heroic at 4x, epic at 5x, legendary at 6x. Guess artifact might be 7x. Gets kind of scary when you start factoring crits.
But this appears to be a gear driven rather than skill driven game now. They may just be testing that scaling to see how they need to tune it. I think the archetype skills and gear shouldn’t completely overpower player skill. Kind of a trinity where each needs to be in balance and a factor. Player skill is more of a discovery process and there will always be those that skew things. So expecting all that now would be overly optimistic.
The difference I experienced by first swapping a blue bow to a heroic and shortly after to a legendary was... actually just hysterical.
With the exception of animal carcasses (and t1 tree im guess due to abundance they get lower drop rate) which seem to be a bug atm your base line crafting gonna be blue quality materials since they are plentiful resource types (White and green trash and are basicly for grinding levels basicly) if your wearing crafting armor your minimum crafting quality for blue resources is almost always heroic quality so this will be your low quality crafted gear, Epic will be your normal quality and legendary takes a bit more work to hit and your high quality.
the difference beteen heroic and legendary is also quite reasonable so i think it find TTK might need to be worked on overall however but thats a different matter.
Currently the only thing you should be comparing gear scaline between is heroic quality and legendary cause there the 3 real gear quality and anything below that is mob trash loot since it a crafting focus gear game not mob dropped. The reason u wana be farming mobs is for the Recipes, The crafting items (forsaken symbols) and named mobs pieces like grizzler sever head and glint for money thats what you far mobs for item wise.
Gear is always suppose to come from crafters and the low quality crafts are always gonna be heroic quality and the high quality will be legendary.
Legendary level 10 gear is equivelent to the low quality lvl 20 gear too aka heroic quality lvl 20s which makes sense
comparing the wrong quality tbh these are the only relevant quality of items the low quality crafted items are heroic and the high end is legendary and epic in the middle. If you havant done crafting yet blue resources are plentiful and will be used as a low grade craft which will basicly always proc up to Heroic quality with the crafting armor so u wont see anything below heroic in regard to crafted items and the game is based around crafted gear. Green and rare coloured items in this game is equivelent to grey and white in WoW, heroics are green items, epics are blue items and legendary are epic items if your compare them to WoW
