Please implement Job Queues and Adjustable Job size for Processing

Xavier_FooXavier_Foo Member, Alpha Two
I get that crafting is a whole different way of leveling that involves it's own grind. But I want to put things in a perspective here: when moving from place to place takes so much time, when gathering is actually dangerous at lower levels or when not having gear, there needs to be a way to process things in a more relaxed way. Here is what I see the game currently lacks and should have:
- adjustable job size instead of predefined sizes. If I have 7 oak lumber, I should be able to make a job of 7.
- job queues: I should be able to queue multiple jobs, even if they are processed in sequence it's OK.

Having these 2 will improve the quality of life tremendously. Right now, if you want to level up any gathering/processing profession you are not able to level your character. They are mutually exclusive since all you'll be doing is running around gathering resources. Extremely NOT FUN and extremely time consuming. I don't want to live in a game. And I don't think many others do.

I should be able to dedicate say 1 hour for gathering, go to a station, queue up as many jobs I need to and then go level up or do some fun things with my guild mates. This is not possible now, gathering and crafting feel like an extremely boring chore.

Please fix this.

    +1

If it's helpful, the higher level artisan stations have multiple queues, but I don't think this would matter as much if we could enter exact quantities.

Apprentice stations have 2 job queue slots, giving you 3 total in those nodes.

I agree with the variable job sizes though. I've frequently have had to process 8 items and its 4 jobs of 5,1,1,1 which is just a waste of lumber. (I would use flowers - but I also do alchemy and need truckloads of magic powder, so that feels wasteful)

you kinda get job queueing with the higher tier processing stations however i will agree i should be able to use the materials im processing in the first slot for processing the second item so let say 50 timber being process in first slot i should be able to use the 50 timber to make into bioard in the second however if they cant do that its fine.

But definetly should be able to get a slider for processing instead of set batches

There should be job queues at each level. The higher the level the more job queues but the starting point should be 2. This is so you can get the most bang for your buck while playing the game. Most of us have very limited time to spend gaming. I should be able to divide that precious time into gathering, processing and some group activity with other players so I can do a bit of both and still feel that those progress bars are moving. Right now that's not the case and that's because I have only 1 job queue as a Novice so if I want to min-max, every 50 minutes I need to say bye to my group, spend time traveling, picking up stuff and adding another batch and then come back in hopes I'll be finding another group. If I had 2 hours (2 job queues) then the situation would be much different, wouldn't it ?

they do but it related to building, novice is 1, apprentice is 2 journeyman is 3 master is 4 and grandmaster is 5 per node building and you can build more than 1 bench in each town if u want to realy specilise a node :p

Pretty sure they need more than 1 carpentry bench in a node tbh cause at journeyman the upgrade split them and i dont think u can upgrade the same building twice so u will probaly get 1 journeyman processing bench and 2 apprentice ones in the same node when people push journeyman buildings :P

IMO: Queues as is because progression resolves this, but adjustable job size YES PLS! I cannot see a design reason for just 1/5/10/25/50. Cap at 50 fine, but a slider would be ideal.

i do agree setting a number would be nice always sucks when you have 24 resources so you have to do 2 10s and 4 1s though seems many dont know the qty window does scroll and has a 100 and a 250. though still a pain when you have 135 to process still have a lot of singles to work thru. being able to select a job size at any interval would be a HUGE quality of life
