Last week good and less good

The last week I played a lot….tried different classes and decided that leveling wasn’t the main goal.
What i liked….
The game ran smooth.
Had almost no lag
Classes I played went ok….some better then others.
I have to say I played them in the classic way….so a caster being a caster with gear that support casting. A bard being support. An archer being an archer…and a tank being a tank.
Just like in the most games in the last 30 years I play these games.
What I less liked…
No trade channel…..the constant offerings and looking for stuff of Specialy the levels 20+ was insane. You hardly could make out the normal talks. Specialy when more and more quest got broken people started crafting.
Loads off quests mobs missing…..specialy when we got to the weekend it got silly. I play on a European server, and there is no support at all. It took till yesterday evening till this was fixed.
When this game goes live and if it is a succes they need to fix support and GM online all the time.
The world is bigger then the USA…and you can’t let people who pay money almost a week for a fix.
All classes look the same…what I mean is this…
Most casters run round with melee weapon and shield, bards with bow and arrow…and they all wear heavy armor. I seen this till lvl 15 round me…don’t know above that.
Seeing a caster run up into a group off mobs and started to melee/ shield them down was a shock.
And it wasn’t just one…almost all do these.
They even started to send me DM telling me that this was way faster in leveling then the old school casting I did. I don’t know if it’s true…but most levels 6 I seen…got to lvl 25 the next day when I seen them again.
So leveling goes insane fast if you following instructions off players.
I had hoped for more slow leveling and hard work….but AoC is what I see 25 lvls in a day kind of game.
The flaming in PvP is started. I made a post that there is no us vs them…and so far I get it right.
Bigger guilds gank smaller once and even solo players gets killed and stuff stolen. This stealing is also done by most other players.
If you die…do not bother returning for your stuff…..other steal it.
It’s in the game design…so its ok and appealing it is pointless.
People calling in general chat not to join sertain players because they PvP gank. Name calling, screaming and so on….
And this is after.a few weeks when the game went into alpha 2. We going to have a ball when it goes live.
My tip….
Join the largest guild or you are screwed.
Training windows should open full screen. I couldn’t find a way to let them do it.
Specialy when you want to zoom into the skill tree to read stuff better….you need to zoom in…then scroll down.
No autoloot…..
Would be nicer…not a big thing…but would be nice.
After a roll if you win…the loot isn’t handed to you….nope run over and pick it up.
If you pick the loot that starts a roll…and you win…you need to pick it up again….but I just did.
So far the game feels like a perfect Pve game.
Not at all like a PvP game.
And if I made 4 characters near level 20 and didn’t get that feeling…something is wrong.
The only thing I seen is the big gank guild…and that’s it.
I do like the game…but it has some big issues if it want to present itself like a PvP also game.
So far it doesn’t come close to any other games I played with a PvP element or was PvP based.
A nice good looking Pve grind game so far.
