Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

State of Itemisation: power scaling and gear stat bonuses diversity

Few points before I forget, just to add one more opinion to many:
  • power scaling coming from gear is too step and removes a possibility of skill based match up too much
  • I don't see much stat diversity on available gear sets. I would like to see ability to craft armour sets with variety of stat bonuses. Nothing should stop you from crafting heavy armour with INT / WISDOM, magic casting speed on the top of corresponding set bonuses and vice versa for physical archetypes.
  • Start thinking ahead about gear scaling balance, build and by extension playstyle variety Intrepid. Unless you want to end up with a mid game in terms of combat experience and depth

    If you unfamiliar with crafting atm you might think power scaling is too steep but it relay isnt.

    Harvesters that have some basic gear can crank out Blue+ quality resources at quite a solid rate (with exception of hunting atm which seems bugged) that will then mean crafter will have an abundant on rare materials ands above and with some okish apprentice quality gear there blue materials crafts proc up to heroic quality so in tern heroic is the basic crafted gear and epic is the middle range while legendary is high end gear.
    So when u look at power scaling the only 3 items you need top look at is the difference beteen legenday and heroic which isnt alot at all. The game is heavily crafted focus so mobs gear is only suppose to be a stepping stone till crafted gear is acquired. The reason for mobs farming isnt for gear its for the glint for gold/recipes/craftiong components such as forsaken seals, and then named mobs for there recipes and there component to craft their recipe.

    Gear diversity does need to be looked at a bit however when the other biomes are added and other starting zones you will probaly see more recipe drops along with name mobs all giving a unique item recipe you should be able to flesh out more gear diversity as the game develops especialy around lvl 25+ sionce secondaries will become a thing later around that level which will need the diversity to accomodate the new classes.

    being able to craft legendary gear with blue mats is silly, the quality increase from artisan gear is clearly overtuned, it's legendary gear, it's not meant to be easy to obtain.
