Clerics in PVP

I think it would be wise to allow Clerics to have some kind of shield skill E.G. Something that has instant cast, lasts 5 seconds and absorbs all damage.
This would prevent being targeted in PVP in the first seconds of engagement and being wiped out immediately, because lets face it. Clerics will be targeted first, and we can be downed in seconds if focused on.
Without this, PVP will not be fun for us.

Making healers have free reign because you don't like to be targeted is an insane take.
Play a tank and you can have fun not being targeted. If it's 5v1 you're dead. If it's 5v5 and they are popping off on you, you are out of position.

Why dont you check this very category of the forums? Last I checked there's literally a video of me playing cleric. What games have you even pvped in? Your name suits you, if i had to guess you played Hpal, and the only form of pvp you know is bubble hearth.

I had fun with my ret pally before they got nerfed
His name is poser, which atleast in the states has the connotation of someone who likes to look and act the part but does not actually *do*. I.e. People in the 90s dressing like skateboarders but not skateboarding, or wearing band t shirts for bands they don't listen to.
The bubble hearth comment is me connecting the dots of poser wanting an instant cast 5 second immunity. Which by the way, are the lamest skill-less brain dead skills in any game outside of being able to stealth in a tab target game.
Pressing a cheesy invuln button isn't counter play, it's a get out of jail free.
Using other a few other wow immunities as an example:
iceblock you can't act and atleast you stay still.
Die by the sword is only 100% parry which doesn't matter when attacked from behind
Anti magic shell is only magic effects and only until the rather small magic damage absorb is damaged off.
All of those have elements that are counterplayable and aren't over the top. Paladin just makes it so you have to have enough damage to kill them twice before it's back up. Even then, the only reason it's got any counterplay is because of skills like shattering throw existing to take them off.
Call me a troll all you want poser but why are you being the one getting attacked by a whole group in the first place? If you are positioning correctly this isnt a problem. If your group is flanked then that's a you problem and your dps can't zone for you, or can't punish people who over extend. I ask again, what games have you actually pvped in? Call me a troll but you have added 0 input other than complaining, while I have both added input as well as one of the few people who was willing to put their build and playstyle up with confidence to show others how to play it.
So far in the forum meta I'd rather everyone be useful trolls like me than posers like you.

You can't even handle pvp on a forum and yet you want to make recommendations on pvp? Even worse, you still havent actually expressed any real thought, only whined. This low effort original post, no insight, no actual followup - which you have only defended by:
1.) Saying we don't play the class
2.) Calling me a troll
3.) Trying to report me.
Those are the exact events, in order.
This is a waste of bandwidth, I'd say it's fine to have opinions, but your opinion isn't mechanically any good or fun, which is what everybody except you have 'expressed'. To be honest though you've barely expressed an opinion, merely a short 1 dimensional whine with 0 nuance or context followed by lashing out instead of actually supporting it.
Go actually play some games, formulate an actual opinion based on experience and examples and repost it. Perhaps you'll become a better person for it.

You reported them after making personal attacks on their character and not defending your own arguments?
Personally I think "insta cast, absorbs all damage" is a bit too good for one of the strongest classes in the game when it comes to survival.
This is my personal feedback, shared to help the game thrive in its niche.

In large scale pvp, cleric spam is the most OP thing you can do atm, when combined with mage spam. If anything getting constantly healed should apply a temporary heal efficiency debuff in pvp.

And do more dmg while being a healer compared to any other game. XD
Is this your first MMO? This is what healers are primarily designed to do. Plenty of ways to counter it.
