We all know the wipe is on it's way on Dec 20. It's been a grind-fest which is the game, but we are Alpha Testers. For ending of Phase One I purpose that they let us bring the house down in abundance.

Increase drops rates for gear
Increase all gathering rarities and spawn rates.
Increase Boss respawns.
Where are these monster coins? Give them to some people for the hell of it.
Reduce Exp debt (there's going to be a ton of PVP over the last couple weekends we all know it)
Where are the crafted alcoholic beverages? Do they make my screen blurry and give me strength? I wanna know!

Let us test the hell out of these crafting and PVP systems. Let us put the pedal to the metal (you all know what I mean lol). Let us have the fun that us Alpha Testers deserve! It can go back to being a grind-fest for Phase 2. Hell I might even make a character with my name so all you haters can come PVP me ;)

As much as this might be 'fun', the telemetry for this sort of thing is usually better left 'undisturbed'.

If they wanna do all this on the PTR, sure, but even with the wipe I wouldn't go this way personally.

They're gonna need data on exactly this scenario, too.

Every MMORPG needs to have some general concept of how the playerbase responds to the 'end of a content cycle' and Ashes benefits from having this sooner rather than later. In my experience I'd say that Alpha isn't a 'pointless' time to collect this data either, if anything it's better (same goes for games that launch early with only a subset of their planned features).

A large part of live-service game development is learning how to shuffle your priorities/updates on work that will need to be done anyway, into a form that maximizes engagement/profit. Better to practice it now.

    Boo, lame, pfft, pshaw.
End of content cycle? What are you talking about? Servers aren't going to be resetting in the future.

    Haha, alright dear.

Maybe Intrepid really doesn't think about any of those things as much as I do, in which case, your suggestion is fine.

I think my suggestion is pretty good. I don't mean to rock the boat but... This phase is little dry right now
