Game crash, freeze and EAC FALSE POSITIVE

At 2 pm PST Dec 6, the game logged me out of the Realm (Shol) and closed my AOC game window.
I immediately ran a latency and bandwidth test and everything was nominal.
So that was quite weird.

I re-launched the game again and was playing fine
At 3 pm PST the game complete froze. The screen froze and nothing worked; X-ing out did nothing.

I opened Process Explorer (an official Microsoft Windows program similar to Task Manager) to override restart AOC.exe
At this time an EAC window popped up telling me that a violation had been detected.

I'm not using ANY game-related software, and nothing has changed about how I play this game or what's on my system since EAC was instated.

The logical assumption is that it logged Process Explorer as cheating software.
That's a problem.

Personally, I always run Process Explorer to make sure that the Intrepid launcher is fully closed because sometimes it lingers. This can also happen with AOC.exe although I've seen that rarely. Actually I haven't seen much of that lately so maybe those issues have been fixed.

Edit: I do have mouse software for my Corsair mouse but that's been on here the whole time through hours of play. There are no macros running on it, although that is an option as with all gaming mouse software. Keys have been rebound since around Alpha 1 and no changes to that software configuration.
