Cities, towns and villages should have kids playing. Laughing and running around. It's a small thing that makes the world seem real and alive.

Surely must be a minor issue.

But for the OP. Doubt you are going to have child npcs in a mmo with active emotes (we know they are coming in more variety, they sold them as part of Kickstarter packages). People love to do all sorts of perverted things when given actions they can do. SWTOR had a /weld emote where a person would drop to one knee, put out their hand like they were wrapping it around a pipe, and bob their head. The bj video compilations of people flash mobbing in the main hubs that circulated at the time got so much press that they removed the emote and cracked down on anyone erp'in in public channels as "Not starwarsy behavior"
Just imagine when the vids of people interacting with the kid npcs you think should populate the towns hit various media. Not a good look for an indie trying to break into being a AAA.

Yeah pretty much dont see children in games cause people do things they shouldnt or they murder them which some peopel frown upon seeing virtual children killed. Like i beleive even in skyrim the children were liek the only unkillable characters but havant realy seen children in MMO or GTA like games since skyrim

They can add child laughter to the ambient town sound loops.

GW2 did it well. Kids chasing each other and laughing. Hard to manipulate that for harm.
