Question | Artisan certification demotion

This may be an easy one, but I wanted to ask before I actually did it in game.

If I demote an artisan skill does it impact the earned experience / level of the skill - or just the permissions that come with that certification?

For example, if I'm a lvl 26 miner at the Journeyman cert level, if I demote to the Apprentice cert - will it impact any of the mining experience or level earned?

I'm guessing / hoping the answer is 'no' - but want to confirm expected design.

    it drops also the level to the max level of the certification, so if you are lvl 26 and drop to novice your lvl became 10.
