Cleric party/raid window and out of range

Currently, if a partymember or raid member is out or range, you can still click on their name in the party/raid window and use your skills on them. This is a huge problem for a healer in group.
It allows us to dump heals and cooldowns on a player who needs health but can't get it because they are out of range. I found myself constantly spending skills on out or range players. In large scale combat, there are often times 20 people out of range in my raid window who I spend multiple skills worth of cooldowns before giving up on them. Then, when they are back in range I don't bother healing them, assuming they are still out or range.
The party/raid window should grey them out or even better, not allow skills to be triggered on them at all, the way the line of sight system works. I should be able to have a visual and a hard stop of out of range players. These seems like a small issue, or something that isn't important right now. It is important, it makes a huge difference in causing a group wipe, or even worse node war loss when healers are running around wasting cooldowns on people they can't heal.
