Purify Buff Request

I won't make this post longer than it needs to be: [Purify] should be buffed(or at least a spec into it) that allows for, not only the removal of conditions, but a X seconds protection from new ones.
Whether its PvE or PvP, conditions are applied WAY too rapidly. If youve ever fought a Zombie Thaumaturge and have to spam flash cure the MILISECOND you complete purify, just to heal, you know my pain. Ans, in PvP? Please, you have more than 2 people attacking a target, and you PERMANENTLY have conditions on you.
From a strategic standpoint, maybe you could pre-cast it to block stuff like sleep. I think theres a lot of uses for condition protection, but it might require a 2 or 3 second cooldown.
Thoughts?
