Purify Buff Request

LordPaxLordPax Member, Alpha Two
I won't make this post longer than it needs to be: [Purify] should be buffed(or at least a spec into it) that allows for, not only the removal of conditions, but a X seconds protection from new ones.

Whether its PvE or PvP, conditions are applied WAY too rapidly. If youve ever fought a Zombie Thaumaturge and have to spam flash cure the MILISECOND you complete purify, just to heal, you know my pain. Ans, in PvP? Please, you have more than 2 people attacking a target, and you PERMANENTLY have conditions on you.

From a strategic standpoint, maybe you could pre-cast it to block stuff like sleep. I think theres a lot of uses for condition protection, but it might require a 2 or 3 second cooldown.

Thoughts?

Definitely. The fact that many conditions can be spammed / re-applied instantly by even the most basic mobs seems to make Purify useless in a lot of situations. Especially when it comes to DoTs it feels like it's easier and cheaper to just outheal the damage rather than to remove them right now - which is not the way it should be.

Exactly! The two biggest offenders are Wounded and Infected, because both of those affect healing power. Honestly, when fighting some zombie packs in Carphin, I was in a party with 2 clerics, and my SOLE goal was to spam purify on the tank(since it has no cd). I hope that Intrepid reads this and updates it somehow

Yes fully agree with these comments. I also want to add that we need a group cleanse skill as well. A single target spammable is nice (and important), but a group cleanse on a CD is a key healer ability in most MMO's I've played. Right now the Bard has Nimble Dance which does that on a 25 second CD. Give that to Cleric, remove the Nimble and Pep buffs but keep the group cleanse and CD and give it us. Cleansing/Purifying are key healer abilities.

Especially in a debuff heavy game such as AoC. I see group cleanse as a major way of Clerics to be able to disrupt enemy group play in PvP, so this should be a thing, completely agree.

Group cleanse with like a ~15-20sec CD. This might be something Cleric/Clerics get, but its hard for us to hold our breaths on systems that we have 0 knowledge - even a glimpse - of.

Just add group cleanse to communal restoration.

Mayybbeee as an added skill point, but Communal Restoration is arguably one of the most balanced skills in the game. No need to overtune it --- I like where youre going though

That would be overkill. Why would I want to overheal for tons if all I want to do is cleanse people? Having a debuff doesn't mean they're all dying. It's also way more mana than I'd want to spend if that's all I want to accomplish.
