WASD double click dodge

PeegerPeeger Member, Alpha Two
I would love to see dodge roll be assigned to double clicking wasd keys in the direction you want to roll/dodge. The keys are already really hard to manage with needing to use shift numbers for spells, I think this would greatly increase the use of dodge and make it more strategic as using block and dodge eat stam. Trying to hit c to sprint, then dodge roll with z, then keep using wasd keys to direction, its very clunky feeling in combat as is.

As long as we get to keep the current way of dodging too, sure, why not.

I am a big fan of this.

    It just feels more natural.

It would be great if double click any key could be a bind for anything you want, really. Imagine if you could double click 1 key and get your spell from your second bar to cast or whatever you assign it to. That would be AWESOME.

ESO had it and although I liked it at first, I had to toggle it off later due to too many accidential dodge rolls that wasted my stamina and sometimes got me killed. Still, I see no harm adding it even though I wouldnt recommend using it myself.

Oh, yes, it definitely has to be something that can be toggled off. I don't want it either, but I don't mind it as an option for those who do of course.

Agreed that the double tap WASD directional dodgeroll should be in game. It makes combat way easier. As an ex ESO player i can confirm that this was a very good feature/ a must have for the game.

You can adjust the sensitivity of it in your Settings.

You can fine tune those accidental dodges with a latency slider in the options menu in ESO. Something similar would be helpful in Ashes if they do implement double tap to dodge.

Double tap like this has becomed nearly an industry standard for action oriented FPS games, bringing it to MMO's seems natural enough.

    Yeah, be silly not to.
