Glorious Alpha Two Testers!

Alpha Two Realms are now unlocked for Phase II testing!

For our initial launch, testing will begin on Friday, December 20, 2024, at 10 AM Pacific and continue uninterrupted until Monday, January 6, 2025, at 10 AM Pacific. After January 6th, we’ll transition to a schedule of five-day-per-week access for the remainder of Phase II.

You can download the game launcher here and we encourage you to join us on our for the most up to date testing news.

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday's Testing Server pre phase 2

Hopefully in the next two days of testing there is no more spamming everyone to lvl 25 to let us hit each other with pool noodles and ruin any kind of progression testing that might be going on.

It was clear mob locations, and nodes have been changed and it's hard to test anything in a realistic situation when you remove the leveling process.

Also if you are going to boost people to 25, give us weapon exp as well, You can't play your job properly when you remove a whole system of combat from the equation. There is no accurate testing to be done there.

If you just need bodies to test pvp with, stop leveling the whole server to 25, it's not going to be accurate without people having everything and you clearly aren't giving us everything we would have at 25 so just do it with whatever level we are, I'm sure you'll get the same results. Not like you are going to be coordinated with 39 random people not in coms with 30 of them all having 'main character syndrome'.

The test isn't about the accuracy of the PvP, it's about pinning down one of the main challenges of the system they're working on.

The challenge of 'one character approaches from this SW (server-worker) side, another character exists in/approaches from another side, neither crosses the boundary, they begin interacting'.

The only thing Intrepid needs people to do probably is set up that situation. If you know where to find a good SW boundary, particularly one that can easily be approached from two sides depending on nearby Embersprings, use those.

It probably does not matter a lot which options you use in that PvP, exactly. I would, however, bet that there are two things one could do to help. This is just my speculation based on my experience with such things and Intrepid's networking solutions:

    1. Make sure characters both sides have some form of reactive healing or powerful mitigation, and that both sides have relatively powerful long range attacks
    2. Save those abilities until someone is low on health (relative to whatever the TTK between the groups is) and use them then.

Other than that, just spread out into the world as requested. I'm only really familiar with the Joeva region but there are some good spots south of the node itself, some good ones near the 2nd Division outpost, and a few further south of the node near the big river that goes down to New Aela.

Good luck, all involved, though you probably all knew this before.

What you are describing isn't what happened at all. But whatever it's all said and done now.

My guess was that this was more about how things worked during large combat raids. People were disconnecting and could not get back into raid. Players could not type in say or global, after a couple disconnects could not even whisper. We do not know what they were testing but if it were about testing something to do with combat, I think they would have spawned in weapons and armor.

My guess, they were working on raid testing and the only reason we likely even got the 25 lvl boost was to be able to survive against the wolves and other things that were spawning there.

Yeah... all that pvp shit happened in the last hour of the server.... If that was really the intention of today's test... they would have made us lvl 25 from the beginning.... Honestly my biggest gripe about testing in Phase 1 so far has been the communication from Intrepid.... They say one thing then later say something contrary, or they just don't respond... I'm sure they are more vocal with their internal testers.
