Dec 17 PVP Limited PVP Testing Feedback

My Notes:

Testing is what we are here for but for the love of God GMs, please provide some basic details as to what is expected or what you are looking for.

An announcement went out requesting that anyone that wanted to help with some PVP testing should go to the command post.

I went and was added to a raid immediately. After some time standing around waiting for others to show, we were all teleported to a new location and boosted to lvl 25.

Some players started to flag up but others, waited to hear what we were doing. This process went on for a long period of time without input from GMs. Perhaps they were testing player behavior?

After quite some time passed waiting for the event to start, I randomly disconnected. I logged right back in and was no longer in my raid group and the event had started.

I discovered immediately that I could not type in the 'say' channel to request an invite back to raid, nor could I type in global. I whispered the GM of my raid group several times and did not get a reply. After the second DC (about 10 on the night), I could no longer even whisper.

Many of us that disconnected sat around waiting to be invited back to a raid with no invite extended. We attempted to form our own group but could not invite to party nor whisper anyone around us. Flagging against the multiple raids and dying a quick death, did not help. Relogging did not help, rebinding to the emberstone did not help.

Long story short, many of us gave up almost 2 hours of our time standing around trying to get some acknowledgment of what was expected of us never to even see combat. I saw no GM comments after my 1st DC and I did not even have a clue when the event concluded. Perhaps this was announced during one of the many DC's?

Yes it is alpha but the courtesy of being told when we were done or no longer needed or ANY communication of what was expected from those that DC'd after they disconnected would have been nice as many of us hung out the entire time thinking we would be invited back to raid to see the pvp event we sat around an hour waiting for.

tl;dr- Cannot comment on the event other than from a spectator viewpoint, but would appreciate better communication from the GMs during testing.

I would love to hear from those that managed to stay connected how the event and combat felt. I am also curious as to what players were finally told to do prior to the event starting.
