Making your own skins for mounts and items

I would love to see in game, taking an item you like the look of and have the ability to remove the skin. Both or items, weapons and armor. As well for mounts. Doing so should blow up the item and maybe give you some crafting resources. This means if you have earned an epic item (thats part of your chars story) you can add that skin to a new item of the same type. Your mount you have fallen in love with, maybe part of your RP back story. Just a thought, even if it was after launch.

I am ok with it. It's not how they plan to do it currently I believe, but essentially being able to create your own cosmetic skins from existing gear is cool with me.
