Fast Leveling Option (Alpha Only)

Due to the incredibly tedious leveling process in Ashes of Creation, would it be possible to implement an option to test the Alpha at max level? Since the game is still in development, it seems more beneficial for testers to focus on exploring the world and identifying bugs rather than spending significant time leveling. Accelerating this process would allow for more thorough testing of various systems and content and make the Alpha experience more enjoyable and less grinding levels in an empty game environment.. Is this something the team could consider?

    If/when Intrepid need testing done for max level content, they will provide a means for players to test it with max level characters. They have already shown that they can and will boost character level when the situation calls for it

    There is no point speeding up the leveling process, as that leveling process also needs to be tested, including the pacing.

    However, there is no pointing doing this until there is more testing to be done at max level than there are max level characters.

    This boosting happens on the PTR when they are looking to test something. Then they get everyone to go do that thing
    Most people never listen. They are just waiting on you to quit making noise so they can.

    When everyone gets to max level quickly anyways, why lower the time? Especially when the level cap is so low right now.
    Not to mention that if they boost, they will need to wipe the servers after they get what they are looking for. They are trying not to wipe.

    @Undead Canuck

    Exactly what I have been worried about.

    The level cap is low and it takes two weekends to get there on three-ish play days a week.

    We are going to 5 days a week with the same cap. Cap really don't matter as much as just hitting 20 anyway. On top of all of this the play period will be longer than phase 1.

    If anything rates should be lower for phase 2.

    Without goals, less people will be in game, less people will be testing, less things will be reported.

    My evidence for this is the dramatic drop in player every week past week 2 in phase 1. It's like every week 25% less people were in the world.

    I did not play much the last weekend because I was full Lego and had nothing to do. There were a few fights here and there, but otherwise I was out of goals.

    I want phase 2 to be a marathon not a Sprint. More reasons to stay in Verra is more testing done.

    I think they are turning on the 'Story arc' for riverlands in Phase 2, which might be a proper quest line.
