Thought about Scribbing.

I want to start this thread by expressing my sincere appreciation for the week-long testing period you’ve given us. It’s been a fantastic opportunity to explore the game and provide feedback. That being said, I do have some commentary regarding the Scribe profession and would like to offer some constructive feedback.
This Craft system (For Scribbing) currently requires Rubies specifically to create all Novice Scrolls. At its peak, it takes up to five Rubies per craft (equating to 5 Red Ink). While the use of gems for ink is an interesting mechanic, it feels somewhat counterintuitive since most ink in other contexts is typically derived from flowers or other more common resources. The real issue arises with the sheer quantity of Rubies needed—hundreds upon hundreds—to level Scribe from 1 to 10. This steep requirement creates a significant bottleneck, as obtaining such a scarce resource early on makes leveling the profession an uphill battle.
By the time a Scribe reaches a meaningful level, most players have already far outpaced them in progression. This diminishes the relevance of the craft, particularly given that we require such a rare and specific resource to enchant items or even provide the 180-minute buff. The buff, notably, can also be purchased from an NPC at novice levels, further undermining the value of the profession during the early game.
I would like to suggest considering adjustments to the early leveling process for Scribe. Perhaps reducing the reliance on scarce resources like Rubies or slightly easing the progression curve could help the profession remain relevant and keep pace with player progression, all while maintaining the depth and complexity intended for the craft.
I do recognize that the game is still in testing and that the experience may change when it officially launches with a more open world. However, as things currently stand, progressing as a Scribe feels unnecessarily challenging. This is my primary constructive criticism so far, though I suspect my perspective may evolve as we continue testing and eventually transition to live gameplay.
Thank you again for this opportunity to provide feedback.
