Bug Reporting and Review. My take so far.

Hello AoC Community and Developers!
My name is Tower and I wanted to say hello! I know that the standard request is to send in a /bug in the game, but I feel like I’ve created quite a list of bugs or issues and figured I would start a document and add to it over time. I’ll break the first section down into bugs or issues that I’m currently seeing and then in the second half, I’ll be providing some general feedback. I’d also like to point out that these are just my opinions and I understand that if they do not align with AoC, that is fine as well. Just throwing my voice out there. I did not know there was a bug format until I just now went to the forums to submit this. I will take that into consideration next time I post.
Part 1 - Issues and Bugs
Character Rubber Banding
There have been random instances where I will be pressing W for a while and out of nowhere I start rubber banding. Once I stop pressing W and give it 2-3 seconds, everything goes back to normal.
Lumberjacking
I’ve purchased the Survey Pylon and found that it does not work. When placing the Survey Pylon, I getsss a “general error”.
There are multiple areas where after you complete the animation of chopping down a tree, it does not move and just sits there. You can walk through it.
There is a patch of trees to the East of Halcyon that are not able to be chopped down.
In certain areas, when you complete chopping down a tree, it will fall but sometimes the physics go a little haywire and can start spinning very fast or fly up into the air.
When chopping down a tree, there seems to be a randomness on if the durability of your axe goes down by 1 point or 2 points. I noticed that in Phase 2, there is now a durability factor of 110 instead of 60. Curious as to the reasoning behind 1 or 2 points.
Inventory
When you open up the player inventory and the storage inventory and try to right click from player to storage, it will always start in bag 2.
Inventory still bugs out from time to time where it places items in the players inventory but doesn’t show up until after you relog.
When you're at a crafting station and picking up a completed job, it will only allow you to send the completed items to inventory if you have space in Bag 1. Any other bags are ignored.
Highwaymen Hills (HH)
I’ve only seen this recently in HH, but I was in a group grinding a 3 star area and after a certain amount of time, they’d start spawning with the static doll (hands out, feet spread apart) and just do nothing. Not sure if the server is able to keep up with that many people in the area or what happened. 12/22/24
There are instances where these same NPC’s will start being attacked and not respond for 10-15 seconds.
The HH 3 star Sniper needs some work. Most of the time it just jumps off the top of the roof, then we sit there for a little bit to see if it will find a path back up to us.
Gathering
When you approach a resource and see the interact icon and press F, it will fail until you press F again.
Flax
This resource in comparison to the rest of the herbs seem to have quite the low spawn rate or availability. Not sure if it’s just me, again RNG, but I’m just throwing that out there.
Combat
When killing an NPC, as soon as it hits 0 HP, I’d like to see it where your aggression or “your in a fight” timer goes away as soon as they’ve been taken down. It’s annoying to have to sit there for 3-5 seconds after the fight is done to then be able to eat a ration if needed.
Mount / Animation
I have not been able to put my finger on it but there are random times when I’m riding along on my mount and it will go into an animation lock. You're still moving but it’s as if you were moving the horse along the axis, while being static, at a specific speed.
Can I PLEASE request that the mounts be able to make it over small bumps or rocks in the terrain? There have been quite a few times where I’ll be riding down a path and then my mount hits something random in the world, stops and is in a position oriented like it’s looking up the steepest mountain.
Dismounting next to another horse can throw your character's camera into a funky state where it’s inside the horse and there’s nothing you can do about it unless you relog.
When moving forward, if you press F without stopping, there is a chance that the server doesn’t understand what’s going on, the horse will jitter a bit, then continue in the same direction without the rider on it.
Glint
If you hover over Dim Glint, it currently says that it cannot be condensed at this time BUT, it can.
Taxes
When purchasing and submitting tax receipts, there are instances where the node requests 19 receipts but then only takes 17.
Marketplace Manager
Location on the map (At least in Halcyon) does not reflect the location of the NPC.
Resources
There have been multiple instances where I’ve seen flowers “growing” inside rocks as well as minable nodes.
Additionally, there seem to be terrain changes from time to time where resource respawn placement seems static and doesn’t take the current terrain height into consideration.
Emerald Node
When completely zoomed out, there is a piece of the top of the crystal that you can see through.
T1, T2, T3 resources
I was going to go hard on this but Steven literally just made an update to Discord stating that they’re going to be increasing the resource spawn rate due to the server player pop so I’m going to leave this alone for now. Basically, I’m wanting the team to do just this. We’ll see.
Part 2 - Game Play
Over all, for an Alpha state game, this is kicking it out of the park. Though there are still bugs and things that need to be addressed, from a high level, it’s fun to play. I’ve had multiple instances where I’ve been looking for that next thing to play and this has definitely done it for me.
Character Movement / Combat
I’m not sure what it was but before jumping into Alpha 2, I did have a hard time thinking I was going to enjoy the combat. It just looked different and off. I can’t put my finger on why, but that stance has changed as I’ve continued to learn the game and mechanics. The character feels snappy and not sluggish. The animations and transitions for the player are smooth and enjoyable to play. I’ve only tested with a Mage, but thus far, it’s fun!
World / Environment
Overall, I see progress with each major update. Where once there was barren land, there now stands a forest. There are continuous terrain adjustments and improvements that I see changed such as tears in the world being fixed or correcting the terrain connecting the world to a bridge. I love where this is headed. That being said (Yes, it’s Alpha. Yes, it’s still in development) I do still feel like there are multiple aspects that are just copy/paste. I’d like to see more variety in mobs across different nodes. I’m not sure how feasible it is or if they can bring in more of an assortment of NPC’s, but if we get to a point where wolves are everywhere instead of in a certain region, I will probably be disappointed. Again, yes. Alpha. I get it.
Developer Involvement
Out of everything, this key factor is what has me the most excited for this game. I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a development team take such interest in community feedback and actually action the reports. People going afk to gain XP in Titans Ring? Fear not for Steven will descend down upon that area, give a 30 second warning for all players to clear the area or they’ll suffer his wrath, then spawn 10 or so lvl 30 mobs to completely clear out the area. I have never seen a team do that before and loved watching every second of that interaction.
Bug Fixes
Constantly identifying and pushing updates. I want to say the development team sleeps, but at this point, I’m not sure this actually happens!
Ending
Wrapping things up, I wanted to say thanks to the development team. It’s clear that a TON of time has already made its way into the game and seeing the constant improvements and engagement with the community is what I believe sets y'all aside from the rest. I do still believe there’s quite a bit of work to be done, but the progress shown so far has me very interested to see what this will look like in the long run.
I’ll be sure to post more updates or bug fixes as I come across them either in game or here in the forums.
Thanks again!
