Head Start

Will there be another package that has 2 day head start like the Kickstarter got at any point?

For A2 or game launch?
We’re still years away from game launch, Lewtz … check back in 2026.
The head start was sold to kickstarter backers as an exclusive. As such, even if we want to have head start access, we shouldn't want Intrepid to offer it again. Them sticking to their word is far more important.
It’s pretty frustrating, but I think your point is undeniable. It’s the same situation with all the monthly supporter packs.
As a fan, I’d fully support any litigation against Intrepid if they ever went back on their word about anything with money involved.

There are certain things in the Kickstarter that were marked exclusive. Head start was not one of them. PI also is not. Steven could sell these a la carte at any time if he so chooses. Before you go "nuh-uh" people also believed they would never sell single keys as access. They tried it, and when it blew up in their faces, immediately spun it to give access to all later phases, some Embers, and a month of game sub. Now, I remember him saying that head start would not be offered again at the same time he said that the lifetime sub wouldn't (which was marked exclusive) and there would not be another round of "crowdfunding." People do love to armchair lawyer about their imagined consumer rights and depending on where they are from are shocked to find out that except in very rare cases they have no option to "sue" and the cost of doing so even if they were able to is way more than what they had spent. Unlike other kickstarted projects that never produced, Intrepid has now shown a progression and testable clients to thousands of "customers" meaning any such "they promised me!" would get tossed. People are all for "class action is coming" as long as they are not the ones doing any of the work or paying for it.
It is—anything else would be mental gymnastics.
That said, I’m not sure I’d classify Ashes as fully pay-to-win, considering that the advantage players purchase diminishes every day after launch. In the grand scheme of things, the percentage of pay-to-win in Ashes is relatively small.
However, it will never be completely 0%.

True but 2 days is enough to get ahead of the curve, and buy a freehold which will be huge, I remember someone saying people can just not roll on the headstart servers but that's not really going to be an option for oce realms as they have far less people
I agree with you 100%. It truly sucks and should have never been a thing.
This made me think.
Would it not be amazing if no one rolled on a head-start server?
I think that would be the best outcome.

Bro, like most things, this pearl clutching about headstart is seemingly by those who have little to no understanding of how Intrepid's game systems are meant to work. Not how they are currently in testing, but how they are going to work for live. Nodes are not being developed those two days. All they will be able to do is farm mobs and basic crafting. Once servers go live then nodes come online. You have to be 50 to have a freehold (not 20 like in testing), a node has to be level 3 for the first ones to become available (not all of them are just randomly placed in the world like now for testing) and the "baronies" do not offer all the freeholds for bid in an auction all at the same time. You have to have completed the quest, have the right currency, all stuff that those two days give no advantage over.
There have been one for each region, NA, EU, and OCE confirmed for launch. Intrepid has shown already that they are willing to limit the number of servers for a launch till they fill. So this cope dream that there will be whole empty headstart servers that no one rolls on for launch is just that. And even if they did, you are not getting away from those people, cause if you look to how server merges are planned for by Intrepid, weaker, failing servers are rolled into healthier ones. So those dreaded "headstarters" with all their scary cosmetics and extra lumber from that extra day or two are still going to show up to haunt you.

However, the podcast I thought he said it on has now been set to private, so I can't confirm.
