[Interaction Feedback] Targettable Objects difficult t see.

First, let me thank the developers for all the hard work they've put in. Please forgive the nitpick nature of this post, but after 1 hour of play, this is one thing that I thought would be worth mentioning in detail.

There are two factors that seem to be necessary to target objects, particularly when gathering. First, the object must be within a very short range of the player, and second, the object must be in the camera cone of the player's line of sight from camera to player to object.

I think it would be better if the ability to see that an object is interactable either had a much wider 'cone'. Right now it seems to be roughly 45 degrees from the character's center pointing the direction of the camera. If you try to swing the camera around while gathering, you lose focus on the node and stop gathering, even if the player character is still facing the node.

I also think that the distance from which the character should see that the node exists needs to be at least twice what it is, even if it is longer than the ability to interact with the node. If we call the current distance 2 meters, I think mousing over a node within 4 meters should reveal that an interaction is possible, even if you still must be within 2 meters of the node.

Lastly, I think the node should use the character's perspective position, rather, which direction the player character is currently facing, rather than the direction the camera is facing to determine whether to continue to gather at the node, allowing a player to swing their camera around while gathering. I think this would allow players gathering to stay far more responsive and interactive with the game.

Because some objects like rocks or trees can be gathered, and some can't, the very first intro quest was actually slightly confusing. I did not realize the trees in the area were cuttable at first because my camera was not properly positioned as I was looking around. When returning to find the work tables, it also took a moment to find because of this same camera issue. I think this issue would be resolved by the slightly larger search radius for the mouse to change its pointer to an 'interactable' indicator.
