KRANKONHEALROIDS AND TWITCHTVoHSLERTV has trained mobs onto me under both characters today for hours in two different groups. Everyone in global chat has been talking about it. he is just griefing all day in Carphin.

KRANKONHEALROIDS AND TWITCHTVoHSLERTV just ran mobs over and over on multiple groups at Carphin over the last hour. He would purposefully do it to wipe them and then loot their bodies immediately, run away and let PvP flag fall off, then do it again.

Like how is this NOT a bannable thing? He says on this clip "you and your friends (I'm solo) aren't gonna farm there until you're all turned red!" and then proceeds to grief by pulling mobs into groups for 5-8 Hours. Here is the VoD of him saying it and the rest of the stream for evidence. I Don't Want to make clips of it since I don't want him to take it down.

Leashing needs to be adjusted. Also Alt f4 needs to be addressed.

I think they really need to change the mob aggro system - specifically target selection/priority, in this regard so people can't weaponize mobs against other players so easily.

This is the only thing I could find for rules in the game:

I don't think this is harassment. You're only bothered if you go to that area. Personally I'm glad this guy is doing this stuff. I want to see how Intrepid handles it. The method and result of their action/s, if any, will be a strong factor on which my participation in this game hinges.

Definitely. I love PvP and will not participate in a PvX game that tolerates exploiting unfinished aggro mechanics to bypass the PvP flagging system. If that sounds like a great time to you, have fun dude.

What they do and how they do it during alpha testing is no reflection at all on what they would do and how they would do it on a live game.

It's almost as if you people think this is early access or something.

Why not build some sort of intelligence into the mobs where they stick to the player who trains them onto other players? The mobs could become exponentially tougher, move faster etc and ultimately just outright kill the player doing this, then reset back to their original positions.
  • KyraaxKyraax Member, Alpha Two, Early Alpha Two
While I don't agree with training mobs onto other players repeatedly without provocation, this mechanic does have a place. Imagine you're soloing and get killed and/or pushed off your camp by a group. I'd definitely bring them a few new friends to play with ;)

I would like to see train griefing get sorted out. It isn't within the spirit of pvp to train mobs into a group 15 levels lower than you and loot their bodies for forsaken emblems. Those level 10s aren't going to be able to fight back against a 25, and it shouldn't be expected with the current corruption penalties for other level 25s to come save them. At level 10 I would shoot to slow them to keep them close to the mobs. It did nothing. The only thing that happened was the level 25 killed me, and I lost EXP for my trouble to try and pvp in this situation. I would like to see a fix for circumventing the pvp system like this.

This mechanic has absolutely zero place and has already been declared as griefing by the developers. If you want to contest an area, flag up and fight for it.
  • Its_MeIts_Me Member, Alpha Two
Steven has already stated that they would be changing how aggro works so this is being worked on.

In all of these posts, I did not see mention of anyone reporting. If you feel this is griefing, report it with clips.

More and more game developers are releasing games in "pre Alpha" and charging us for it. People pay to play this game in "early development" and then judge the game on that experience. Again, the game is in "pre Alpha" meaning it's NO WHERE NEAR READY!

Sure, if the developers made it available for us to test for them, they need feedback to improve it. But saying this game is bad or good at this point is a bit of a stretch....as it can change in a MAJOR way in the next year or two until it's fully released. Basically, if you can't deal with things not working as intended, your system crashing, the game crashing, simple things like AI adjustments, all driving you nuts.... well then, you probably should NOT be playing a "pre Alpha" or "early access" game in the first place.

Changed NPC aggro, to prevent enemies from aggroing characters within range when they lose a previous target. This is to address issues with NPC training

    It's not working.

Was running parallel with a player who had two wolves chasing him. Every other second they would take a bite out of my ass and then chase him again, bite out of my ass, chase him again...

So, were ANY of the prolific mob trainers actioned against to anyone’s knowledge?

Steven intentionally withheld all details on what exploits were handled so that no one can hold him accountable for not addressing specific issues and exploits that many players have been asking be handled. Being intentionally vague allows him to also get away with not handling specific issues that he previously stated he would handle, such as the war dec spamming he declared was an exploit and would be addressed.

My 'guess' (this is all we can do) is that IF the players that were repeatedly training mobs on other players was addressed, it likely occurred under the 'severe harassment' numbers where he simply warned people to stop. 🤣
