Subreddit seems biased for Actual Pirates now.

I tried making a post here: https://www.reddit.com/r/AshesofCreation/comments/1hvkxpz/i_was_a_member_of_the_ministry_of_truth_of_actual/

And as one can see, a mod removed the post from being posted on the subreddit. Their reasons are a total reach at that.

I find this extremely concerning, given Steven runs the subreddit. Should we expect favoritism now?

EDIT: after private discussion with another mod, i've changed my assessment here. Please disregard.

Imo it's hard to say either way because I don't remember if we've had a similar post before. I do understand Grey's reasoning behind the removal, because that kind of post could be easily seen as either an ad for the guild or a slander campaign by their enemies.

Guild ads are prohibited in the main reddit and slander campaigns are a total hassle, especially considering the current temperature of the community, with all the drama and shit (which also tangentially includes Thor, so there's even more potential trouble there).

This is a game who's core feature is guild politics. This isn't an attempt at a slander campaign, but they should certainly be prepared to handle and allow as much anyway. Steven even stated "You may continue your player driven political engagements." (https://www.reddit.com/r/AshesofCreation/comments/1gimjdz/comment/lv6qjeq/)

so there's no world where they don't expect to handle and allow such posts to begin with.

it looks like Grey explained their reasoning more and I personally agree with it, especially if an entire rule was added exactly after the discussion you linked here.

Maybe, with Steven now being way more active on reddit, that rule will change, but for now I'd agree with Grey's moderation here.

Also, you claim that the reddit is biased against Pirates, but if all the other guild-related posts have been removed in the past - you wouldn't know, would you? So it'd be difficult to say if there's a specific bias or if the rules are simply being adhered to by mods.

I agree with the moderators position and without knowing anything about you or the pirate guild, my immediate impression is that you have a grievance and want to start shit which really does not belong where you posted it.

Obviously there is favoritism, Steven selected a player at random ti grant a wish for in phase 1, he randomly selected Thor lol, Steven gave crix a legendary mounts for his birthday, Steven randomly selected packets to be the randomly chosen player to participate in a GM hosted event and the same for narc, not that I care... But obviously there is favoritism
