Griefing and mob pulling is at an all-time high. Sharif's faith in the community is far too high.

In the last two days alone I've had to open 3 separate tickets with video footage evidence against players for intentionally pulling mobs onto my character while trying to progress in Carphin. Having to play the game while keeping OBS open in case of an oncoming attack is getting tired real fast. The game is not solo-friendly (which is fine), but if you're a lone wolf, other groups will pick on you without a second thought because victory rests within numbers.

There is a simple routine that these players follow by when it comes to griefing:

1.) Keep their character guildless to avoid any tarnished reputation for that guild, though they still are a part of a band of players who communicate via discord or other outside channels to enact their behaviors.
2.) Aggro mobs and drag them to the player they wish to disrupt, hoping it causes their death.
3.) Flagging up for PVP to stun lock or silence you once the mobs are close and hopes the mobs finish you off.
4.) Claim that they were attempting to PVP with you even if you did not engage at all.

This toxic, gross behavior allows them to effectively kill you and avoid their character even going red with corruption.

As Sharif has stated, the corruption system is a work in progress, but the way PVP is enabled still only benefits the offender and never the defender no matter what. Players will also have other "Guildless guildies" waiting on the sidelines in hope that you flag up for pvp and then swoop in and wipe you out.

Players will also abuse this system and even attempt to make you go red so they can have their guild rush in and kill you immediately in order to loot your gear. I've seen this behavior time and time again and players now run with recording software to document such events.

Now, each ticket you open is associated with a number, and within the 48 hour timeframe, my first to last ticket number has increased by about 500, which means over 500 tickets have been submitted in the last two days - which suggests that Intrepid is getting hammered by their ticket system. Mind you, Intrepid studios only has a few hundred employees, and many of them are not a part of the ticket support staff.

As much as I have loved the direction that Steven Sharif has taken with his creative vision when it comes to AoC, I do believe that opening the option to PVE servers where players cannot flag up and commit to this heinous behavior should be considered and on the table. Sharif has put far too much faith in the community that players would act accordingly when in reality, there is some serious scum that walks through Verra, and will continue to walk through Verra if left unchecked.

These scum players will always find a way or a work-around to the systems that are put in place, and I think it's opening the eyes of some over at Intrepid studios, or at least I hope it is, given the severity of the exploits that players have continued to engage in. A big portion of your playerbase will struggle to find enjoyment in a game and eventually stop logging in when you allow such behaviors to thrive that hinder their ability to enjoy the game.

Yup, people are sh!t across the board. When the zombie apocalypse starts IRL...kill that someone who asks for help before he/she pvp flags you or aggros zombies onto you.

It is a PVX game and Steven has already stated, separate servers for PVE will not exist.

Here is what I do not understand, I have tested this game right along with everyone else (including a lot of solo time and pug groups) and I have been exposed to these same players and yet, I do not see this as the huge issue others are seeing it as. Situational awareness and keeping an eye out in high traffic areas for this to occur (HH, Carphin, SB ect.) goes a long way in preventing your own death.

Steven has already stated that they are implementing changes to the aggro system so that is not pulled from the initial aggro'd player by proximity but players will still have to stay diligent and pay attention to where they are and what they are doing so they are not tossing down AOE as the mobs are run through.
