Hey all, just wanted to start generating a feedback space for my meanderings. I have had a chance to get my first few levels out of the way and most of the beginning area stuff under way. I am now at level 5 and taking in the game with a new set of eyes. The wife and I played ESO, WoW, and Tera for quite a few years. I hope that this game will bring out some interesting new and fresh ideas adding to the heap of games that innovate and move that ball ever forward.
I am still reading on much of the previous work and a bit of the lore to see what generally this game is about. For me the game core mechanics feels much like I am back in vanilla gorilla wow just before all the server madness. I will reflect back on the core mechanics after I have a few more levels under my belt and have a chance to enjoy some of the PVX content.
I am seeing some artifacts, missions not able to be completed, and odd structural errors. So, I will try to keep a spot list so I can do a weekly dump of the odds and ends. For my first character I went with a Mage and started a bit into the Artisans work as I quested around. Still working on how to get further along and I will keep notes on how and where I think more information may help. I am learning how to use the guide more often, thanks for that book, it helps heaps.
Currently I am interested in the progression of the game system. It appears to be mostly vertical with a bit of horizontal in gear and modification. One of the things I enjoyed about other platforms was things l like Artisan skill masteries offering unique character enhancements that had part Active and Passive bits. It will take me a bit of time to transition back from sci-fi into these genera, thinking in terms of galactic scale and PVX items for these modes of engagement is not unlike the current medieval/magical content here.
