Node War Spawn Camping Zerg BS

Node wars are trash content atm for solo players not affiliated with a large guild that is participating. I've been spawn camped and chased everywhere on the map in every direction of Miraleth by Nova Ordem after logging into an active Node War that I had no knowledge and warning of. Node Wars are 1/10 design atm.
Numerous players of Nova Ordem griefing solo players who try to spawn anywhere at Ember Springs Oaken Bane Keep or Carphin. This is full troll bs. Unplayable. Literally level 25 players griefing low level players that are afk or farming everywhere in Miraleth. Very dumb design. Why is griefing promoted content? Solo players have no idea a war is active, the only thing they can do to avoid a shit experience is to log out until the node war is over. I'm all for pvp, but zerging and spawn camping solo players is not pvp, especially when they're lower level.
I've been afk numerous times trying to type messages and the enemy zerg runs to every corner to find you and grief you while you're mounted afk. This is some of the stupidest 'content' I've seen in a game. This isn't pvp, it's licensed griefing bs just to grief.
Give players on log-in and during a Node War declaration protection and a 30 second option to freely warp to a safe zone away from the pvp combat. You literally get trapped in the zone and the enemy zerg will not let you leave, and they spawn camp every road, ember spring spawn location, POI etc. This isn't enjoyable or fun, its just zerg laughing as they murder solo players. Very poorly thought out concept for game design.
Player below spawn camping the Oaken Bane Keep shrine killing players that spawn there. I was also killed by another player at the Carphin shrine spawn location, same guild (Nova Ordem). If you want players to not grief, it behooves game design not to introduce systems that promote griefing. Introduce actual pvp content, not griefing content. I don't care about dying in actual pvp, I dislike not being able to disengage from pvp content when I'm not interested in engaging with it if it is involuntary and spam griefed for an hour by a zerg. A one off encounter is no big deal. Nova Ordem griefed me for an hour throughout Miraleth in every direction. This is junk game design atm.
You don't even have time to re-spec to a pvp build instead of pve. You log in, and are getting spam attacked everywhere by a zerg. Respawn, no time to prep. they're camping spawn. You're not even prepared to fight, don't have consumables, don't have your build or hot bars ready for pvp. This is lame. Attacked 5x by their zerg at Carphin tower 3F, Carphin tower gate camping of tower multiple encounters, far island opposite carphin chased and killed while afk on mount, carphin poi spawn camped and killed, afk after crossing to crater zerg patrols and chases, go to freehold hillside to West of Miraleth node to look for route away from action, chased and attacked by the same Nova Ordem zerg patrolling, try to leave by West road that is low level - the Nova Ordem zerg has that road also camped by a group and kills me, spawn at Oaken bane keep and spawn camp killed.
I'm a solo player not affiliated with the node other than for the cape. This is not interesting content, this is being trolled by lousy game design. I don't even blame Nova Ordem or ask for any penalties for them. I think the dev team needs to do some mental lifting and un-bleep their game design content to prevent this type of experience when the game launches. Again, I do not blame Nova Ordem for griefing me, I blame the garbage game design that allows it.

I think mayors of nodes at war should be able to place temporary respawn points on the map which work only for their own citizens and guards which defend those points.
Otherwise the node war flag should be canceled close to regular respawn points.
We deeply understand your frustration with the current state of node wars. The real issue isn’t just with the game mechanics but with how our leaders fail to safeguard the well-being of their citizens.
While the Nova Ordem Guild spreads chaos and dominates Miraleth, where are the leaders of the Enveus alliance? They’re not on the frontlines but instead hiding in the holes where they bury the gold from taxes, only emerging when the war is over. These so-called leaders prioritize their coffers over their people, leaving us to face raiders and the wrath of our enemies alone.
The time has come for Miraleth to break free from these weak and corrupt rulers! We need leaders who not only make promises but act in the best interest of the people. The citizens of Miraleth must unite and support the Nova Ordem Warriors' Alliance, a strong and resolute force that fears no battle and protects its people with valor.
The choice is clear: Do not vote for the next mayor of the Enveus alliance. Their leaders have shown they are weak, cowardly, and unfit to protect Miraleth. Support leaders who will truly safeguard our node, ensure its prosperity, and fight for the well-being of its citizens. It’s time to end the reign of the incompetent and elect those who will stand strong in the face of any threat.
Vote wisely, for the future of Miraleth depends on it! Crying won't save anyone!
No, Nova Ordem is not a streamer alliance. Nova Ordem is an extremely disciplined guild that explores every aspect of this excellent game, demonstrating organization and commitment in its actions.
On the other hand, it’s important to highlight that the real root of Miraleth’s problems lies with the leadership of the Enveus, Polar alliance, and their variants. These guilds exist solely to exploit game mechanics, and when war reaches their city gates, they are the first to renounce their citizenship in the region they are supposed to protect.
People are complaining about the wrong thing. The issue with Miraleth is not the node war system but your ineffective leadership. Instead of crying for changes in the game, hold Enveus and its allies accountable for the protection they promised. It’s clear there are hardly any Enveus or Polar warriors on the map, and this is because their leaders abandon citizenship the moment war arrives at their gates.
The future of Miraleth depends on firm actions and wise choices. Don’t blame the game—demand accountability from those who have failed to protect you.
Ah, LukeDaWuke, I get your point, but let me offer another perspective. Node wars aren’t just large-scale events—they’re also an excellent opportunity to train and have fun with PvP.
If you don’t want to get caught up in the chaos near the city, just move away and start hunting enemies in the conflict zones. That’s where the magic happens! You’ll find out how thrilling it is to face other players in 1v1, 1v2, or even 1v3 battles. These fights are challenging and incredibly fun!
Give it a try. I bet you’ll realize that node wars have much more to offer than meets the eye!
there also need 2 be a period of time grace period between war decs like 15 mins or something because atm it 100% favors the attacking side greatly where they can set up to aoe kill everyone the moment they war dec and then proceed to spawn camp them afterwards
This might be the funniest statement I've ever read! I guess exploiting, griefing, and being beyond toxic is considered discipline by these clowns. LMAO
This will never happen, and it won't do much good. People will just camp both spawn points.
If you do not belong to a node, you will not be impacted by a node war and if you do belong to a node, you have all the risks right along with all the benefits.
As a solo player, nothing prevents you from starting a raid and having people X up in citizen chat when war erupts or asking for a group in citizen chat and helping defend.
As someone not in a large guild, I have done this and if I really wanted to avoid node wars all together, I would not join a node.
Also, be proactive and log off in secure locations so if you log in during a war, you are not sitting in the middle of the node.
I think having a timer between when a war (any type) is declared and when it starts is important so I hope that this will be implemented. I also think a choice in spawn points would be helpful,
My post wasn't about risk/reward of being a citizen but how the dev team needs to improve node wars to limit and/or prevent repetitive griefing of non-combatants not looking to participate and grant a better option for players to leave the node area being contested. Currently logging off the game is the best answer and that's not sufficient for game health reasons.
I wasn't looking to participate in the node war. I was looking to finish my level grind to 25. I know nobody from Miraleth nor care to engage in pug group pvp vs organized discord group zergs.
I am in a large guild, but I was logged onto an alt where I am a citizen of Miraleth, not our guild node, for the benefit of the mage cape they have. Avoiding being a citizen of a node isn't a good way to be a tester imo. The devs need the feedback from various points of view on their systems (node wars).
I logged in that session in a 'safe' area of Halcyon and joined a pug group that was farming at Carphin. I found out that there was an active node war when I saw numerous red players at the back entrance to carphin tower (unlikely to all be corrupt) so figured a node war was active and looked it up on the N node UI after I was chased and killed by their group camping the tower entrance. There is currently no UI notification on login, warning, character demarkation to notify you that you are logged into an active node war you are automatically a participant of. The map also does not make it obvious with any highlighting that I've seen.
And yes, I think an update to the shrine system should be part of the solution. Updating them to have protection while standing by the shrine is one step. And allowing transport to any shrine in the metro network would be my other suggestion. That would alleviate much of the griefing, stalking, camping concerns and issues there are currently as moving around the map is problematic currently and too easy for large guilds to camp an entire area and grief everyone with no method of escape without logging out to prevent redundant spawn camping.
