Keep in mind, you aren't supposed to be playing or feeling like you are playing Ashes. You kind of aren't supposed to be enjoying it.

Intrepid are getting valuable data from players right now, and their staff are all working on things. Rather than fixing bugs that are a result of systems only being partially implemented, the developers are working on finishing those systems.

Re-tasking developers to perform a short term fix for something that has a long term fix planned is not a good idea in a testing environment. It may be a good idea if the game were live, but not during a test.

That is what you and I should want them to be working on, even if it means there are bugs in the test that go unattended for a while.

Our goal here is to get the game as good as it can be for launch, not to make the game better tomorrow.
That's all fair, but there is a problem. The test / game has to be enjoyable and sufficient amount of sand in the sandbox for people to be willing to take part in these tests. Otherwise retention is going to be a massive problem. Its hard to help Intrepid with testing economy, finding bugs and performance issues without a playerbase.

The current build is affected by multiple critical issues from the playerbase retention perspective and those issues remain not addressed.

Just as I was concerned might happen, Steven appears to have taken the coward route on handling all of the exploits and hid behind generics to cover his ass. 😒

Given what people are reporting (the leader spamming all the war decs is still in game) and Steven's refusal to acknowledge if he even addressed or took action on this, everything points to Steven failing to keep his word to his community.

As Steven has stated, the game is not for everyone but at this point, he should probably just update his tagline to 'the game and/or the developer might not be for everyone'....

The kind of MMO development you seem to want is unrealistic.

Again, Intrepid should not be spending resources fixing issues thst are a result of any system being partially implemented. Any such fix would then need to be undone when the rest of the system is added, and that would get messy, and also result in needing far.more full wipes.

It is in testers best interest that things are not fixed with a temporary fix.

Again, as I have been saying, it is also kot in the games best interest to prevent people finding these exploits from testing the game - even if they are using the exploits in a manner that some find disagreeable.

Steven's actions align exactly with what I have been telling you from the start. His reasons are sound and valid - you just seem to want a better testing experience in exchange for a worse live experience.

As I have been saying, even if that is not what you want to happen, that would be the only result if Intrepid took the actions you want them to take.

The test doesn't matter for anything other than getting the game ready to go live. You sometimes not enjoying it because of the actions of others is a non-factor.

Again, you somehow managed to be off topic and to twist things again as I am not asking for fixes which you keep repeatedly deflecting to. 🤦‍♀️

Replying to you is not productive (other than bumping this thread) and it looks like SmileGurney is willing to entertain the trolling now so please go argue how testers should not enjoy the testing environment like you previously mentioned. Better yet, do your famous twist and derail where you accuse them of wanting flying horses or something they haven't mentioned. 🤣

    Congrats on post 15,887

I mean, you keep saying they aren't addressing things.

Even if Intrepid were issuing bans, they couldn't ban people for doing something and then not alter the game to remove (or attempt to remove) that thing.

So, by asking for bans, suspensions or character resets, you are implicitly asking for temporary fixes.

You may not be explicitly asking for them, but it is implicit in what you are explicitly asking for.

No, it needs the people that understand it is a test.

People that are here for enjoyment get in the way.
