No Zinc or Copper anywhere

I don't know but it looks like the spawns for minerals has been nerfed. That or bots are farming the nodes.

Either way, it's really frustrating to spend hours looking for Zinc and Copper without finding any anywhere.

    I was able to get copper and ruby in addition to basalt as a rare chance. Not sure if this was put in place as a stop gap or actually intended.

    Interesting, I’ve seen an increase in both copper and zinc, but I also tend to play at less populated times.

    I run past it all the time, i only hit trees and plants myself since i carry 3 logging bags :p

    I had a couple routes that were fine but are now absent or nearly, of zinc and copper.

    Its almost as if the Zinc and Copper spawns have been replaced with other rocks or minerals.

    Over-farming. Static resource spawn locations, long BUT static resource spawn timers. This is too easily abusable if you start farming a spot early, as you know the respawn timer. I regularly see people logging in at a specific spot to farm the resources, logging out in a safe spot. and returning when the timer is up.

    I would imagine making a bot / script for resource collection should be easy enough. Easy Anti-cheat is a joke, and I don't see Intrepid catching a player logging in their character on a timer in a static location, to collect local resource nodes...

    A lot of elements of the resource system, such as dynamic respawn locations, dynamic timers and the resource depletion system aren't in yet.

    This is going to be unpopular but... I've started vendoring common copper and zinc. There's plenty of it around and now that it can be obtained hitting basalt or granite, there's even more.

    There is plenty, now that they've added a chance to get it from basalt, granite and the maps I have gotten plenty. Also I have naturally stumbled a quite a bit of it around the world now that all nodes can be harvested.

    Not sure what server you playing but there is tons of Zinc and Copper, I stopped gathering them since my storage is already full of them.

    Also make sure where you looking for that, some Areas have less of them then others. But Winstead is full of them.

    I'd like to know where people are finding these, because I ran around mountainous areas of the map for 3 hours and found 4 nodes (2 zinc and 2 copper). These are tier 1 base materials, and shouldn't be this rare. It's completely turned off crafting for me, and crafting for people is typically my joy in large scale MMO's.

    I spent 1.5 hrs searching for copper and zinc in the areas most accessible for toons up to lvl 10. I got 5 copper and 5 zinc. That is ridiculous. Not worth the effort.

    Yes, I mined everything... Nothing got passed me.

    This has been an issue since I joined the Alpha 2. Has any official response to this issue been seen? I have seen nothing regarding this issue. I personally will not participate in crafting if this is the time sink to make gear I will only use for maybe 5 levels. I hope it changes.
