XP gains while in a party

I'm new to the Alpha and was introduced to it by a close friend. When we are in a group there are generally 3 of us and sometimes due to RL issues 1 may go offline for a bit. When this happens the XP gains from killing mobs remain the same as when they were online. Is this a Bug or is it working as intended? Example 3 active in group 500 XP per kill, 1 offline 500 per kill, kick offline 750ish per kill.

    Yeah it divides the total xp between all members of the group. The reasoning being that more people can kill mobs faster and more efficiently netting them more xp.

    I understand when they are online. My question is when they are offline and still in the party. Therefore, not contributing to any action to the kill!

    At one point, it didn't impact if a party member was far away (xp split was higher) but it sounds like you are having issues with someone staying in party (not sure why they would) and logging off? I would handle as a bug and report.

    That's probably bug, report it in game using /bug
