The giant floating books

I haven't really searched for this topic but am I the only one or the minority of people who absolutely dislike the giant floating books? I feel like they're to distracting, they don't always go with a custom theme we're trying to achieve and all in all they just look ridiculous. I'd much rather a normal sized book being held in one hand or even just on my waistband so it gives more a No weapon type of look while I cast spells. But the giant floating books everywhere are such an eye-sore.

My first reaction was that they look like wheelbarrows.
I got meanwhile used to them. Maybe they plan to sell cosmetic modifiers for them.
  • I can see where you saw that. They are very large and clunky looking...

Sure it's big and weird, but am I the only one annoyed by the fact that the bard is using it as it's standard weapon? Of all weapons, this is the one bard is given. You'd expect to have a guitar, lute or whatnot in hand, but you log in, only to see a big floating book in front of you. Who is actually so disconnected that they thought "yoooo the bard is gonna look so cool with a mage book. People are gonna effing love it". LMAO! Just give it a bow to start with if you don't want to bother creating an actual instrument. :/

I love the big book. Very DnD. I hope later you get glowing runes coming off it. Some that look like they are on fire. And so on. Also my second fav weapon on my bard. Spell Bow is just too good.

Very not DnD at all. Wizards don't run around with their book floating in front of them unless they want it stolen. The low end for a Wizards spell book is 100 gold that's literally a spell book with 1 level 1 spell in it.
Not to mention your showing every enemy who to kill first.

Just be grateful that they made them smaller.

I hope they stay the same size as well. Two reasons why.

Every MMO I have played, melee get all the big cool looking weapons. Casters should have the flash as well. Second reason. Effects like fire and glowing, always look best on bigger weapons. Again casters should have that option as well for once. Keep them please. Not like they are the over sized shoulder pads you see in WoW. In scale to the game, I have seen real life books that were bigger.

Why there aren't staffs in this game?

keep it the same , out of everything they made, the spell book actually look like an actual big magical book for once instead of a tiny book u hold that may or may not glow a little so it is actually good , hell i hope they give it animations to make it more life like , like the book dancing around or doing goofy stuff here n there

One of the many weapons they are working on. Skill trees need to be made. Animations and skins for each race so racial identity remains intact.

I imagine a Berserker-like Bard sweeping through Masses of Enemies while dancing. Everytime he swings his Book around, Bodyparts or whole Enemies fly through the Air. Yes i know. I am silly.
