Restarted PC to reload game UI, PC won't boot
I have a two month-old HP Z2G9 Desktop running Windows 11.
Intel Core i9 14900 5.4 ghz CPU
Nvidia RTX 3070 GPU
64G DDR4 Ram (4 16G slots)
I just downloaded and installed Ashes last week. I also just put in the RTX 3070, installed drivers, and was having no problems. I played ashes for a full evening with just the usual bugs in game.
When I logged in this morning, I started having UI glitches that I hadn't had the night before. I couldn't navigate menus correctly, such as the inventory and quest log. I could not switch between my primary inventory and quest items or material windows, and when I hovered my mouse over the tab (say, when in primary inventory hovering over the tab to switch to materials), my cursor would become the standard PC cursor instead of the in-game cursor.
I asked a few other players if they were experiencing this, and they all said no. I exited the game client and went to restart my PC, but I was having some trouble closing other programs (Chrome in the background for instance). These programs would not quit, so I tried to open the task manager to end their processes. Task manager would not open from pressing ctrl-alt-dlt, I had to navigate to it in the start menu (very weird).
I finally just selected restart from the start menu. My PC shut down, but not entirely. It got stuck at a black screen with the blue circle for the mouse cursor. It stayed in this state for about 15 minutes before I hard booted it.
When I tried to turn my PC back on, it would play the startup sound and then not progress past a black screen with a blue circle mouse cursor.
I've read some posts about people's PCs being compromised by part of the Ashes client, or the launcher or the anti-cheating software. Again, this is a new computer and I haven't experienced any of these issues before installing and playing Ashes.
Not sure what to try, first I might just have to fresh re-install Windows and see if that helps. I would appreciate any suggestions or feedback you have, hopefully my PC isn't bricked.

track your temps. increase air flow and cooling as needed. 13th and 14th intels suck. i stuck with a 12th just because. If it was this, it wasn't the game, it was the heat.
