FEEDBACK - DELETION OF FEEDBACK POSTS

Its a horrible look and even though you guys might not feel it right now if you ignore player feedback eventually the player base will leave and take their money with them and you will have no one else to blame but yourselves.

Yeah, really weird my post got taken down with no feedback or follow-up from a mod. I thought it was relatively tame and constructive? If I violated a rule or something that, why not just tell me?

The fact a feedback post with nothing bad inside it was removed only a handful of hours after it was posted. Absolutely unacceptable to remove actual proper feedback.

It probably just got caught up in the moderation they are doing due to spammers - who have been very active here over the last little bit.

As an example of how this isn't actual moderation, I will now tell you all to calm the fuck down, and you can watch how this post isn't removed.

If there isnt actual moderation here, i dont see why a system would take down a legitimate post that had actual feedback in it? like if a post isnt going to get removed based on swearing or rude language then im not sure what warrants a post people removed?

Everyone in this forum paid money to be in here and they deserve a reason be given when a post is removed.

I assume you have never been involved in any form of anti-spam systems.

False positives are literally an inevitability with them. Any system that doesn't have a few casualties is also not dealing with spam at all.

Edit to add; that said, there IS moderation here, it just that there is a fairly high threshold for when they step in. If you doubt that there was much wrong with a post, then you definately didn't get anywhere near where Intrepid would step in, meaing it wasn't taken down by moderation - leaving anti-spam filtering as the only thing left.

Well then its sad to see that they dont care to actually implement such a system to properly find spam messages and actual people with proper concerns get left in the dirt again. 10/10 another broken system

They aren't implementing it, they are using the system that comes with the forum software they use.

You seem overly aggressive towards someone that is giving you the only answer you are going to get.

Regardless its extremely poor for a anti spam system to pick up non spam post. Means the creator of this forum and its system really shouldnt of been chosen. Other platforms might of been a better pick. Just sad to see

a Spam filter is fine but if someone isnt actually posting constant message then they arent spamming.. so i see no reason for the system to flag such a post unless they system is poorly designed and therefore this platform shouldnt of been selected if its anti spam was such poor quality

This is no stab at you Noaani its just the system has failed which is a really bad look for Intrepid if they want people to actually have faith that their post will be seen

It tends to happen mostly with people that sign up to forums and start threads before posting in existing ones. This is not considered "standard forum user behavior" in a general sense, and is in fact why many forums have an "introduce yourself" or similar section.

It is absolutely not a bad reflection on Intrepid at all (believe me, I have enough negative things to say about them). It is just how these things are.

The person who posted the post has been here for a long time so its not a new person posting so i wont take that for an answer even for a second. Ah the good old "industry standard" this phrase is used when people have accepted things are how they are and wont call people out for the use of such shitty things.

HIT EM WITH THE OLD "INDUSTRY STANDARD" BOYS! . Cause god forbid nobody looks or does anything better. Its like a construction company hiring a sub contractor who does shit work. It still looks bad on the company cause they hired the shitty subcontractor haha
