[FEEDBACK] Universal Trade and Travel Professions
Greetings,
Loving the game but wanted to provide some feedback into some ideas and hopes that I've had for the game that i think could easily be implemented but would provide a HUGE boost to lateral progression for the already existing game systems (and possibly even fix some concerns/issues)
Wayfarer Archetypes that would include passive and active skills and skill trees. You would gain experience in these universal archetypes as you participate in the activities we all already participate in. These Wayfarer Archetypes open up an entire range of player possibilities and gameplay loops for things we already do in game while simultaneously providing HUGE lateral game progression.
-Caravanner: the more caravans you run, whether successful or not, the better you get at it i.e. you gain experience and level up. Skill points can then be used to customize your caravan. Some example skills could include:
-Treasure Hunter:the more treasure maps you complete, whether successful or not, the better you get at it i.e. you gain experience and level up. Skill points can then be used to enhance you treasure hunting abilities and/or open up exclusive treasure hunting quests or events. Some example skills could include:
In this way a level 50 Caravanner would be their guilds go to for carrying goods. Groups of 3-4 players would think twice about messing with him but he would still be vulnerable to bigger more organized groups. Truly a master of the trade routes. Likewise a level 50 Treasure Hunter would be the Lora Croft or Indiana Jones of finding rare and valuable items and possibly even relics. Don't want to chop trees or harvest Snowdrop ?? Well there are other treasures to be found as long as you have a map.
Other Classes could include:
Thanks for reading, cheers !!

- Passive Increased movement speed - land, road, or water

- Passive utility buffs - increased gold gain, cheaper glint prices, or partial return of goods upon destruction(hidden compartment)
- Stacking master - Passive skill that provides 1-4 additional storage in your caravan
- Ability to hire NPC mercenaries - spend gold to hire guards, archers, mages to fend off would be attackers(players and monsters alike)
- Ability to have 2,3 or even 4 BoB's !!
- Active buffs or abilities - a repair, speed, or damage increase active skill
-Treasure Hunter:the more treasure maps you complete, whether successful or not, the better you get at it i.e. you gain experience and level up. Skill points can then be used to enhance you treasure hunting abilities and/or open up exclusive treasure hunting quests or events. Some example skills could include:
- Increased yield to chest
- Smaller search radius
- Chance to save excavation kit
- Increased chance to uncover a treasure map chain(series of more and more difficult treasure hunts with increasing rewards that chain off the first; culminates in an event that has NPC brigands hunting the same treasure at the final destination)
