Constant "out of video memory" type of crashes since Wave 2

So i was playing in wave 1 and had a blast, maybe the game crashed once or twice, but ever since Wave 2 started i basically cannot play for more than 2 minutes because it crashes.
I had various crashes, some with an error message like "out of video memory", other times just blackscreens.
I play on 1440p and have a 5700x3d, 16 gb of ram and an RTX 3080.
Ive heard others have similar problems and crashes, and since it started to happen since wave 2 im guessing its a bug...its fine that i cannot play now, but hopefully it will get fixed once wave 3 rolls around...id just like to raise awareness.
